Our accommodation looked like it belonged in Architectural Digest. A huge space, both indoors and out. Food was outstanding and the wine cellar is extensive and available. Our safari drives were amazing! Just amazing! You can’t predict what you will see but we saw incredible wildlife! But it is the people who make this place so uniquely incredible. Our guide and tracker, Kirsten and Vusi, made this safari visit spectacular. Kirsten brought excitement and passion, Vusi, his sharp eye and good spirits, and together they made an exceptional team. Hakuna Matata! Karaoke safari! Many thanks to the staff who made this a personal and bespoke experience. Warrick and Mary looked after all of us with grace and warmth. The BBQ, singing, dancing and birthday wishes will not be forgotten, nor the surprise romantic dinner in the room. We will hold these memories close to our heart.…
when we arrived at Boulders it was like in a dream...all is made for the travelers to feel welcome; the service is impeccable, the atmosphere is just heaven and to location...what a location! that makes you never wanting to go back! each day we did 2 breathtaking safaris, and we had time to rest in our beautiful lounge in between;we had breakfast in the middle of the savanna, and dinner by the lovely restaurant of the lounge; each house is private with a private swimming pool... their spa is stunning.... this is not the Tourist place you can fear when visiting Africa...this is pure luxury and style! we save 3 years to get there! no regrets!
I never write online reviews but in the case of this property - I just had to!! If you are considering going to a safari lodge, just go here. Just book it now. There is nowhere else you need to look. My husband and I are already figuring out how we can get back there next year we loved it so much. Every single person we met was amazing - just amazing. The food was delicious, the cocktails fun (thanks for all the great gin drinks Luke!), the wine was really spectacular (Ngoni the sommelier was so passionate about what he does & introduces you to so many different wines from S. Africa - such a fun experience!), and the team around the lodge is just so lovely (esp. Warrick, Mary, Hannah & Selena!). And, the reason you go is for the safari and the guides/trackers are all so knowledgeable and cool (Joff & Kevin you guys rock! You absolutely made our trip & we learned so much!!). Lastly, the actual rooms - stunning. It was modern but warm and inviting and we didn't want to leave. We went into this vacation calling it a 'trip of a lifetime' and left this property trying to make this an every year trip. Thank you so much to the whole Singita Boulders team - you truly are all gems and we had the best trip ever because of you! We also forgot to sign the guest book.. so I guess we will definitely need to come back again to do that! :)…
We booked our Boulders/Lebombo 6 night combo directly with Singita and had excellent and prompt service from Petro Kilpin who also organised our flights with Fed Air from and back to Jo'burg as well as the short 20 min flight between the lodges. The interactive Itinerary submitted prior to our departure was superb. Petro also organised camera lens hire which was waiting on arrival. Boulders is a beautiful lodge with outstanding accommodation. Each suite is incredibly spacious, contemporary and elegant but also homely and cosy. You can unpack and there is a space for everything. By the way you only need to bring your clothes - everything else is here. The large outside deck with the heated infinity pool overlooking the river is a great place to relax after a game drive. All the amenity spaces such as dining room, bar/lounge area and outside dining terrace are stunning and the gym is incredibly well equipped. We also took advantage of the facilities in the media room, where you can upload and edit your photos on an Apple Mac. The food was wonderful and we were very well looked after by the lovely Maria. And then of course there is the "piece de resistance" - the Game Drives! Our guide Sipho and tracker Rizealet (apologies for spelling) are great guys and they did an incredible job in locating the wildlife as well as being good company. Of course there is communication between the guides to ensure that everybody gets to benefit from a particular find. We were blown away by the proximity to the animals which is so important when you are interested in photography but also if you are not and just want to enjoy and observe. We were very pleased with the open Landrover Defender vehicles used, which are far preferable to the Toyota Land Cruisers (used at Lebombo). Our game viewing included lions feasting on a wilder beast kill, elephants, white rhinos, hippos, leopard with antelope kill, hyenas, Impalas, kudus, girafs and zebras as well as numerous birds. Whilst staying we also went across to Ebony Lodge for a coffee and a look around. It is interesting to see the different designs and ambiences of the lodges which all have their distinct identity. The shop and gallery is definitely worth a visit. It stocks a large range of home ware and accessories as well as clothing and jewellery. We left as happy customers and can't recommend highly enough. Loved every minute and hope very much to return to a Singita Lodge in the future.…
This place is a finest juel hidden in the wilderness. We entered the resort via a car, drove for miles through the dusty roads and I could not believe my eyes and senses when we entered Singita Boulders. Everywhere you look is a marvel of nature and craft put together. Beautiful inside and out and a breathtaking view from the deck. We were expected and immediately welcomed and made feel at home. We arrived late for our evening game drive but a ranger took us to find and join our group as soon as we were ready. We had the best of the best guide and tracker tandem - Chene and Raul. They would spot a track and never give up until they find the game. And we saw every imaginable animal, there was nothing that we could not see and experience with bare eyes yards away from the game. To me there is not better experience than a morning game drive with Chene and Raul. They also are funny, knowledgeable, attentive and brave. At Singita also you totally get spoiled with creative and highest quality fresh food, they would accommodate any food restrictions or preferences, There were variety of places they serve the meals and each spot creates a completely different ambience. The bartender Sakhile can make you any imaginable drink and whip himself the cream for your Irish coffee drink. The sommelier Melissa would learn your taste and always offer the exact wine you wanted. The wine cellar is stocked with wines from african wineries and anyone can find their favorite. The pictures of the rooms speak for themselves - beautiful, luxurious, spotless clean, stocked with water, fruit and snacks, the pool is warm and you can jump in it at any time of the day or night if you dare. :) You can recognize a good place by the staff - the people were interacting and sharing with us and you can feel how everyone is just genuinely happy. The manager Worrick was like a sunshine - always smiling and making sure everything is taken care of so we can just enjoy our stay. There was nothing missing or nothing more we could ask for during our stay. Heavenly, fantastic, pure joy and I only wish to be able to go there again.…
