We have just returned from a lovely three day stay at Ngala Safari Camp which rounded off our SA trip. I can only agree with previous comments and highly recommend this as a wonderful destination located at the heart of the Timbavati game reserve. The welcome we received from Beatrice, Herbert, Tussen and team made us feel immediately at home...

Was there with my wife and really loved it. The people, the place, the surroundings, the facilities, the food, the rangers, all excellent. I warmly recommend this place. Special Thanks to head ranger Barney and tracker Harold for their friendliness and great knowledge, butler Norman for his service, chefs Simon and Esther for their excellent meals. I hope other NBeyond...

My wife and I visited Ngala Safari Lodge for our honeymoon. It was absolutely amazing. The staff prepared a couple of surprises for us throughout the trip which made it feel like a special experience. The food was some of the best food we've ever had - which we were not expecting. Our Ranger/Guide was Andre and he absolutely crushed...

There is just to much to praise, so simply put, you must go here! The people, the animals, the food and accomodation, all of it was 100% 5 Star! If you are looking for full Immersion into a game park, with animals literally wandering in and out of camp, this is the place. We cannot wait to go back!!!!

Can spending a night at a hotel or lodge change your life? I'm not sure of the answer to this question but i can tell you that visiting the Ngala Safari Lodge is a transformative experience that you will not forget. I have gone on dozens of safaris - self guided and with expert rangers - and this one surpassed...

This lodge was recommended by several friends and we are so grateful we listened to them! We spent our 2-week honeymoon in South Africa, starting with the wineries outside Cape Town, then Cape Town, and wrapping up with a safari at andBeyond in Kruger Park. The lodge--newly renovated--was clean and luxurious, the customer service exceptional, the food delicious, and the...

Wendy Spiro from andBeyond handled our booking and everything was handled perfectly. Without a doubt this was the best place we have ever stayed in all of our travels because of staff, property and the experience of a safari. We were picked up by our ranger, Garth and from the first moment we had an outstanding experience in every aspect....

Everything was absolutely outstanding, from the moment I booked until the day we left. We were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff waiting for us. On our arrival we were shown around and served a light lunch before our game drive. We were then taken to rooms. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you could ask...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The romance and mystery of Africa come alive in 20 thatched cottages tucked under a dense canopy of tamboti trees at Ngala Safari Lodge. Exuding classical safari charm, the spacious veranda, with its wonderfully comfortable armchairs, looks out onto a popular waterhole. For pure indulgence, the Safari Suite offers an elegant sitting room, private swimming pool and exclusive use of a safari vehicle. Mouth-watering meals are served in the shade of an enormous weeping boerbean tree, while a large swimming pool lies on the edge of thick riverine woodland. ... more   less
