The service was superb, the rooms spectacular and the hospitality was on a completely other level! I went with my father and we managed to have one of the best experiences ever! The lodge was a 5 star gorgeous and classy place to stay. On our game drives we saw the big 5 and had close encountered with animals you'd... More

The rooms are very nice, clean, spacious and with a big terrace over the bush. The food is good and the staff is nice and kind. We had 5 unforgettable safari (4 by car and 1 by foot) with our ranger, Ross, during which we managed to see the famous "big five"!!

We were so wonderfully pleased by every aspect of our visit to the "Lodge" that we already want to return! The treatment we received by every staff member was so great. Our beautiful butler Grace, tracker July and guide Jeluka will forever stay with us. The promise of seeing the big five was kept and it was incredible. Thank you.... More

We hesitated a great deal about this stay as part of a three-week independent trip because of the cost and the possible dangers - you are in the bush ! It was one of the most magical experiences we have ever had. The dawn and dusk safaris in a personal jeep were stunning. They tracked elephants, lions, rhino and leopards.... More

Our driver/guide Ryno and our spotter Alson gave us an unforgettable 3 days at Thornybush. No two experiences will ever be the same, so no point in listing what we saw, but it would be a long list! What matters is the approach, the expertise, the surroundings and the outcome. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience and we... More

We arrived for a weekend away over easter, 2015. I have read all the reviews on the lodge before arriving and was expecting something wonderful. My expectation were exceeded in every way. It is difficult to write a review that will do justice to the facility, the beauty , the staff and the over all experience. I will do do... More

We spent easter weekend at Thornybush - our first safari so we were full of anticipation. Thornybush Game Lodge proved to be fabulous - the staff were all so lovely and welcoming, it felt like home. Our guide Jack and our tracker Kenneth were a great team with Jack in particular going out of his way to make sure we... More

We spent four wonderful days doing safari with our excellent guide and manager of the lodge, Chad, and the great tracker, Ernest!" We saw the 5 big ones ( up close!) on our first day. Kelly, Chad's wife, ran the lodge operations most efficiently. There was great food and company around the beautiful sites where we took meals and watched... More

We spent 3 nights at the Thornybush Main Lodge with Christoff as our ranger and Hendrick as our tracker. We arrived mid-day and went out on the evening game drive and saw a leopard that evening. We saw so many of the animals over the 6 game drives, that I can't remember which we saw when! A few highlights: watching... More
