Great place! Luxurious setting serving a maximum of 8-10 guests provides for really individualized service. Emma and Jacque, who run the place, knew all of our names, and were always available and helpful. The rooms were really nice. From the back porch we could observe antelopes at the water hole only yards away. The game drives were exciting, with animals...

We had the most wonderful weekend at Monwana Game Lodge!! What an amazing place. The accommodation was perfect; the food sublime, and the game drives out of this world. Thank you Jacques, Emma, Morris and the rest of the team for an unforgettable stay - we will certainly be back.

We stayed at Monwana for three nights in June 2015 and it was really in all aspects so much more than we expected. Jacques, the ranger and his wife Emma and all the staff were just fabulous. The game drives were out of this world. We saw all big five regularly and got so close to it. The rooms were...

From the moment we arrived at Monwana we were made to feel special. We were one of 6 guests the 3 days we were there. Jacque was an amazing guide! He and this wife were wonderful hosts. The entire time we were there we felt like family! We not only saw the big 5, but also enjoyed wonderful food and...

We recently took a 5 day break away to Monwana Game Lodge, with in Thornybush, and can honestly say that we were completely blown away by how awesome it has been! We have stayed at several other game lodges over the years, some also in Thornybush, and whereas they were also good, there is simply no comparison to Monwana Game...

After a 45 minute drive from Hoedspruit airport and meandering through several private reserves, we entered an intermediary drop off point, signed in with a welcome drink, and climbed into their vehicle with Jacques, who would later be our tracker. He brought us to the lodge and we were welcomed again with a hot washcloth and another welcome drink. Emma,...

We had an awesome few days at the Monwana Game Lodge. Emma and Jacques were excellent hosts. The food was terrific and the safari drives were great. Jacques extensive knowledge of all wildlife made the trip enjoyable. We are birders, and although the focus of the trip was the mammal life, we knocked out over 60 birds- much due to...

Me & my partner stayed at Monwana lodge for 3 days. We had the BEST time ever. The lodge is peaceful and away from any civilisation. You can't even get there with a private car. The lodge is 4* however feels like 6*! Food was excellent and drinks were plenty. We couldn't say enough about the staff. Nikki was helpful...

Given the plethora of options across the Kruger area, we decided on this place. On arrival we discovered that we were the only ones there for a few days and therefore had nearly all private game drives which was a treat! Werner and Sydney did an excellent job of driving and tracking, so we got to see most of what...

I went to Monwana for photography. As I was alone I did not know what to expect. The familial atmosphere and lovely location were second to none. If I wanted to be alone it was possible but I if I wanted some interaction I could join other guests at the bar or at the dining table. The food was excellent!...
