After 60 kilometers of driving across pure nature in the Timbavati park with the last 4 kilometers on a gray road you arrive in the paradise of Montswari. Our lodge named lion had the perfect African Atmosphere, borders to perfection with a view on a riverbed with all kinds of animals passing. Services and gastronomic is on a high level...

Picky traveler and foodie, so I was worried being in the middle of God's country with no other options. Motswari did a great job of putting my fears to an end. Understanding that you are not in the city, I will give you my pros and cons. Even with the cons, this was a trip of a lifetime! And would...

The lodge is nice, the room excellent ( save for the fungi-infested shower), the meals mediocre, and inferior to those in other, similarly priced establishments, Service very friendly and very good (bar) or friendly yet incompetent (reception). The main asset of the lodge is that they are part of a private reserve - off reading permitted for a game drive....

Thank you for your review of Motswari. We highly value your constructive feedback and thank you for highlighting your areas of concern. As you have rightly pointed out Motswari is a private game reserve adjacent to and with no fence between us and the greater Kruger National Park. We are therefore part of a natural system governed by climatic conditions...

Our family of four stayed at Motswari for three nights on the recommendation of our tour company. Even though our flight to Hoedspruit was delayed we arrived in time to settle in for our first afternoon game drive - the journey from the airport took around 75 minutes. We had two adjacent thatched rondavels - Buffalo and Kudu which were...

Just arriving to Motswari game reserve is quite an experience. Landing at the remote Hoedspruit airport was exciting and along the hour long transfer to Motswari we saw our first giraffe and zedbra. We had a warm welcome and shown to our bungalows which are beautiful, comfortable and immaculately serviced. We went quickly out on our first game drive which...

The lodge is a beautiful place with fantastic views over the river bed. The rooms are a good size with great amenities and comfortable beds. The staff are one of their best assets, so friendly and helpful and the safari guide and tracker we had (Chad and Difference) were so knowledgeable and tracked down amazing sightings of leopard and lions...

Arrived here after about a 1 hour transfer, by private taxi, from the local airport. The staff at reception were really welcoming, they had our luggage taken to our bungalow, called elephant, as our internal flight was delayed 2 hours , we missed the afternoon/evening game drive. Our bungalow was beautifully furnished, African style, was very comfortable and luxurious, we...

We stayed three nights and then went to another lodge in Sabi Sands. We were encouraged to try both - as the areas are quite different even though you are only 150 KM apart. The Timbavati area is much drier and the animals, grasslands and soil are quite different. We checked in at 1pm and we were given our room...

We spent 4 nights at this Lodge and we absolutely recommend it. Every morning they knock on your door to wake you up at 5am for your morning game drive, but don't worry, you'll have plenty of time to rest between 10am and your 4pm game drive. The food is amazing: breakfast is good, lunch is even better and dinner...
