Had an amazing time at the Riverdene Lodge, which is aimed at families. We had 2 adjoining rooms. The experience was amazing with the staff at the lodge at hand when ever you needed anything. The pool was good, but not heated. With views over the savannah. The safaris were amazing and we managed to see pretty much all the...

We've just spent 3 days at Shamwari Game Reserve, staying at the Eagles Cragg lodge. I'm finding it hard to put into words our experience, as everything about our stay was outstanding, from the moment we arrived we were treated so well. All staff were amazing, Samantha was always at hand and nothing is too much trouble. One special person...

We have just ended a three night stay at Eagle's Crag Lodge in Shamwari. This was our second visit to the reserve. Had a fantastic time. The accommodation and service was superb. But you can probably find that at many of the excellent reserves in South Africa. We need to make special mention of some of the individuals who made...

My partner and I have just returned from a 16 day trip to South Africa. There is no doubt that the highlight of the trip was the stay at Shamwari Game Reserve. We stayed at Eagles Crag which is their top quality lodge in the centre of the reserve. The accommodation was a rondavel style individual building with a net...

We stayed just for 1 night, and overall it was a great experience, especially the game drives, that was the best part. We had a great guide, and saw a lot of animals, the elephants were lovely, we saw a lot of them. The BBQ was also memorable, best venison meat I had in South Africa. About the hotel, I...

My group of 4 stayed in Riverside Lodge on the Shamwari Game Reserve and it was excellent. If I'm honest I was a bit of a sceptic about seeing the animals In a game reserve environment but I was wrong. Our guide, Armand, was extremely knowledgeable and took us out twice a day in a huge land cruiser open car...

Four of us visited for 3 nights in January. It was perfect. The primary reason for our enjoyment was our guide, Vuyo, He was relentless in the pursuit of all animals and we saw them all. His knowledge, humor and service attitude made our trip. The rooms were great as were the breakfasts. But when we reflect upon Shamwari, it...

My family and I stayed at the Sarili Lodge for 3 nights. We were three couples and had booked the rooms overlooking the river. The accommodation was first class and the ambiance of the rest of the lodge was so peaceful and relaxing. Some of our party had stayed at Shamwari a few years before in another lodge (Riverdene) and...

Memories a plenty at this stunning reserve. We stayed 2 nights & enjoyed 4 trips out sighting the big 5. We were fortunate enough to see all. Our ranger Steff should be highly commended on her knowledge & professional attention to our group. Thank you for the precious memories 💋
