We have been in Tau Game Lodge four times so far and we will definitely come back. The rooms are African style huts situated along the water hole; you just have to sit on your balcony and wait for the animals to come (e. g. elephant herds, crocodiles, rhinos....); however don't miss the safaris in the morning and evening. Showers...

Near Botswana border, these private game resorts are difficult to access with a small car. Out of the few private game resorts in Madikwe, Tau has the largest water hole. Groups of animals keep coming the whole day to drink water. You can see these from your room or dining place. The accomodation itself is very nice. During one evening...

I didn't initially book Tau but we ended up staying there as Thakudu River Camp had been flooded. When we arrived I wasn't all that happy because I don't really like the big lodges - too many people that it feels like a resort and not an intimate bush experience. We had the family suite, rooms 1 & 2 -...

Just back from a 5 night stay in Tau refreshed and relaxed. We have been before and always stay here because it's perfect! We last came in October for 3 nights and just had to come back and stay abit longer. I can't imagine going to any other park as Madikwe is so stunning and malaria free - and certainly...

We recently spent 2 nights at tau lodge and it was an amazing experience. We ranged in age from 3 years up to 80 and the service was exemplary. The food was outstanding and our young ranger Jesse was very informative and a lovely guy. Planted 2 trees there so we will return in the future to see how they...

We were expecting much before we went on safari. What we experienced though was something else. I wouldn't even know where to start. The surroundings are very authentic, the amount of animals that we saw (in action) was mindblowing, the food was delicious. We could have listened to the professional guide (thanks again Murray) for days. His knowledge of the...

The entire hotel staff really made my stay a wonderful one. From reception, to the kitchen staff, bar staff and all the way to the game rangers - the friendly people ensured we have a great time. The rooms were clean but could still do with a touch here and there. The food was also nice, but I did not...

I recently visited Tau Game Lodge while in South Africa for business. The staff and accommodations were top notch. My game driver, Ernie, was knowledgeable and a great host. His ability to find the Big 5 the first night allowed us the next day to search out other animals. I was privileged to see a leopard not once, but twice...and...

This was the first time that I stayed in a Lodge, but I can only say good things about Tau. The staff is amazing, food is great, bedroom and bathroom nice and clean and with a great view, like giraffes, elephants... you choose!

This was a holiday of a lifetime. Everything was perfect, the service was faultless. 5 star all the way. The game drives are amazing and even when you are relaxing in the hotel you overlook the waterhole which accommodates the big 5 plus many more species. We can't wait to go back. Thank you to all the staff and a...
