We stayed in the Egret room which accommodates three people. The bath facilities were across the hall and necessitated a short walk through the dining area. We found the beds to be comfortable and cozy. The breakfasts were healthy and satisfying. Our hosts, Phoebe and Phil, were easy to communicate with and we enjoyed talking with them, meeting Phil's brother...

We had a great time talking to Phoebe and Phil about Bosque del Apache wildlife refuge over breakfast and in the evenings. Our Heron room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were filling and delicious. The other guests were fascinating. Phoebe gave us lots of refuge and local information and former refuge manager Phil was a wealth of information. This...

We travelled to San Antonio New Mexico to explore the Bosque during the Christmas break 2015. Our hosts Phoebe and Phil made us feel at home. They gave us the map of the area and also recommended some excellent bird watching places (Ladd Gordon waterfowl complex). Since we went birding early in the morning, Phoebe made sure we had everything...

Our hosts, Phoebe and Phil, made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The "Crane" room had all the comforts (nights can get cold) of home. We had a delightful stay, visiting the Bosque, Camino Real, and Socorro with great tips on local sights and eateries from Phoebe. Hope to return someday and would definitely stay at the...

Wonderful breakfasts with homemade baked goods, lovely very hot showers, intimate and friendly atmosphere. Local information and interesting fellow guests. Lots of New Mexicans which is always a good sign--often full so call early! Besides the Bosque del Apache, don't miss the Camino Reale museum and visitors center.

Staying in San Antonio at Casa Blanca to explore the Bosque is a no brainer. Phoebe and Phil are great hosts. It's fun to hear about their travels. We spent 2 nights in the Heron Room, the best available. We had our own private entrance with a very large room. It's all simply and tastefully decorated. Comfortable king-size bed and...

This is not only a great place to explore nearby Bosque del Apache but also a friendly comfortable destination in and of itself. Our morning breakfast was lively conversation with fellow travelers from all over the country sharing and inspiring each other with tales of the road. Phoebe and Phil are expert travelers themselves and great guides to this amazing...

While the bed and the bathroom (Heron Room) were wonderful, it was especially nice to have met and stayed with the hosts Phoebe and Phil and enjoyed their conversation and excellent food. They were also most helpful guides to the region. We were on a slow winter trip across the southwest and our stay at Casa Blanca was certainly one...

I was lucky enough to spend 2 nights here in December with my friend for a visit to the Bosque Del Apache to photograph the migrating Sandhills and Snow Geese amongst others and the Casa Blanca is just perfect for this trip! Phoebe was a wonderful host and very welcoming and unassuming. A wonderful choice at breakfast and mug flasks...

We stayed at the Casa Blanca Bed and Breakfast from 12/17 - 12/21/14. The reason we chose this is because it is so close to Bosque Del Apache. The hosts, Phoebe and Phil are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife reserve. Phoebe is an outstanding cook. Every morning, baked pastries and coffee is out for the early risers who...
