We love to stop at these route 66 motels, and we always appreciate the owners, but we did not appreciate the room after the lights went out! We had the room right next to the office, I believe number 18 which a street light shines plenty of light and you can hear every car passing by on the road. We...

This is a great place if you need a very clean, comfortable room. Mike, the owner, was very helpful and friendly. This is NOT a chain motel with the so called "hot" breakfast but the price is great and the rooms were immaculately clean. We stayed there twice and both times we got the best sleep we had all week!

La Mesa is a charming. Mom and Pop motel. Old school 50's era motel and we'll maintained. Pink neon lights and all. We made a reservation without using a credit card. Show up at 10pm. The host was waiting on us to close up. He brought us to the room opened the door showed us around. Told us where to...

Clean rooms with updated interiors. Mike is friendly and helpful. We came because of TripAdvisor reviews and we like family owned. We were not disappointed. We were in room 14, queen bed, and were not bothered by Route 66 noise. Bring your own Kleenex and clothes hangers. We will return with pleasure. Great value.

We stopped here on an overnight as we traveled through NM on the interstate. We were met in the office by a very kind gentleman. He took our info and then showed us around our room. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable and the price was GREAT! We had the first room next to the office...

Stayed on our way out to Calif and on our way back. Both visits were the same as our stay last year. I gave a 5 rating ( noting that this is a budget retro motel) and both stays this year were also 5's. Note that almost all of the reviews were by people with many hotel reviews to their...

I'm giving this 5-stars in the category for what it is. This is a small, locally owned, low-cost motel. The place was clean, comfortable, and had a fridge, wifi, microwave, coffee maker, and nice TV. I think the price was $58, plus tax. Incredibly cheap with all the right parts. We were going to arrive after 11pm, so the owner...

On a trip through New Mexico we stopped in Santa Rosa for a one-night stay at the La Mesa Motel. We found it to be completely renovated offering excellent cleanliness and a friendly greeting by the owner, Mike, who was accommodating. Santa Rosa doesn't have much to offer visitors this time of the year; however, if you want a clean...

Nice little historic type road Motel owned by a nice couple. The rooms are clean and very affordable. The rooms have a microwave and fridge. You cannot see it from the freeway but it is on the main avenue going through Santa Rosa.
