This hotel is centrally located on the main Plaza in Taos, so a great location for a walking tour of the town (shops, restaurants, galleries, etc). The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and has lots of character. My only complaint is that the walls in the rooms must be paper thin, as we...

Right on the plaza surrounded by shops and charm. Free parking was why we decided on this over the Taos Inn, as well as free parking. There was much charm. I was extremely disappointed that wi-fi did not work in our room and despite a request to have it fixed, the only response was," No one else have complained. I'll...

The location of La Fonda says it all - right on the Plaza, surrounded by shopping, bars, restaurants and coffee shops. There simply isn't a more convenient base from which to explore the town. Some hotels, given this enormous boost, might not pay such close attention to their guests, figuring they've done all the work just by being in the...

We stayed one night a few weeks before Christmas at a reasonable rate in a room overlooking the Plaza. The best part was that the Plaza had almost every tree decorated with lights all choreographed to Christmas music.

We felt right at home the minute we walked in. Joanne at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. The room was "quaint", not your common big hotel chain type of room, but a lovely homey feeling room. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Taos! Plus, you get free coffee, hot chocolate, tea next door at the coffee...

We've stayed here before, and as before, a pleasant stay. The evening desk crew couldn't have been nicer. They helped us with our bags up to the room. Yes I know, it's part of the job, but in a small hotel like this, it doesn't happen often, or done cheefully. The rooms are smallish, but comfortable. If you have a...

There are only 2 rooms with a balcony overlooking the Plaza and they are worth the extra cost. To sit on the balcony and watch life unfold on the Plaza was a great experience. The historic hotel is up-to-date with modern comforts. You're walking distance to great restaurants and history. We were there in mid-October and weather was nice, crowds...

The convenience of being in the historic plaza was important to us as we wanted to be able to just park our car and walk. The staff were very pleasant and most accommodating, and we enjoyed meeting Kristen, Jo, and Frank. They were informative as to what to do in the area and made our stay a very pleasant one....

When you visit Taos this is a great place to stay. Located in the plaza right in the center of town, walking distance to everything. Nice rooms, good price. The area takes you back to the old west in America.

Very charming old hotel which has been restored with all the comforts needed. Our room was overlooking the Plaza and was lovely. The staff was great. Parking is either on the street or in the back, which is a little ways to walk, but the clerk checking us in opened the back door and brought a luggage rack to make...
