I had done some research about earthship architecture long before we went and was happily surprised by how much I actually loved it. Comfortable, Beautiful and all off the grid. Couldn't have asked for more. All the comforts of home. What amazed me is the fact the the interior temp stays comfortable and constant. I'm inspired to build my own...

This place is awesome. The ingenuity, recycling/ reuse of materials, and eco friendly systems show us all what can be done. These houses are on what looks almost like an alien landscape outside Taos, with majestic mountains in the distance. We've watched this place grow for 20 years. You cross a very deep canyon (the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, breathtaking...

We stayed one night in the Waybee House at Earthship. The house was amazing, totally off-the-grid with full amenities. Absolutely gorgeous views, clean, comfortable beds, full kitchen and living area. As a part of the stay, we also enjoyed a personalized tour of the property which included Q&A and additional information not available with a regular visit to the Earthship...

NOT A HOTEL.. Earth Ships provide very normal accommodations.. my visit to Taos targeted spending a week or so in an Earth Ship.. it turned out to be an amazing experience! The interior of my 1500 sq ft spacious.. 1BR + 1 sleeping nook + compact bathroom/shower (simple very user friendly composting toilet) + the spacious open floor plan "main...

I had my doubts.....thought of some hobbit type thing with maybe power.........blown away at what I discovered. Homes that look just as, if not more, modern as a cookie cutter subdivision homes in the burbs. These homes feature awesome solar systems, fresh water filtration, TV and wifi, food production, plants to make the air quality amazing, and views that will...

A three-dot review typically means 'average', but 'average' doesn't really apply here, since staying in an Earthship is such an unusual experience. In this case, the third dot out of five indicates more of a 'middle of the road' review. The Earthship concept is a wonderful idea in many ways that are too obvious to even require listing, and of...

A new way of thinking and living. We stayed in the Euro earthship a three bedroom two bath full kitchen and living room earthship. It was the best nights sleep I have had in a while. The house is amazing and learning how we can live sustainably while living in luxury is incredible. I want to build my own earthship...

I cannot recommend the Earthship vacation rental experience highly enough. Everyone must stay one day in their life in an Earthship. We stayed in April 2014 (TA would offer me a 2014 option!!). These are comfortable, modern, luxurious, dark night sky, isolated units that house many, provide ample living, cooking, toilets/bathrooms and are very comfortable. I recommend reading about the...

Always wanted to stay in an Earthship house and took the time to do it recently, just a little NW of Taos. It was awesome at the Waybee House, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath alternative house made of tires and bottles. Comfy, clean, very accommodating and in no way less than a five star hotel, except it does not have...

Having lived in tire house (2000 tires otherwise destined for the land fill), I truly appreciated this museum and learning about the communities of biotecture homes. Don't skip the video, it explains everything in a clear and concise manner.
