We stayed at this motel during our journey on Historic Route 66. The place is awesome-you feel like you're back in the times. Rooms are authentic, comfortable and clean. We had our private garage right beside the room. Would definitely stay here again!

The Blue Swallow Motel at Tucumcari was one of the highlights of the trip. As you approach the Motel with it's gorgeous old style neon signs you are transported back to the days when motels were more than a bed and a place to park the car. Cameron and Jessica make all guests most welcome, with good old fashioned service....

This motel is 1939 vintage updated in the 1950s. You come here for the experience of what early motels were like not for modern day luxury. Owners are very friendly as are the guests. It is adorned with neon lights and 50s kitch. Rooms are small but adequate.

My friend and I returned recently from our “bucket list” journey driving Route 66 from Chicago to LA! When we finished, people would ask what we liked best about the trip. There were many, many memories that I will value for years to come, but to be honest, my fondest memory will be my stay at the Blue Swallow Motel!!...

I purposely planned my cross country trip from coast to coast to take me through Tucumcari just to stay at the Blue Swallow. I was not disappointed. It's delightful as are Nancy and Kevin and even Bessie, the family pet. My dog and I reveled in the 1950s in our cozy room...I felt transported back to my bedroom where I...

Great stay at The Blue Swallow an authentic Route 66 motel. The motel has been re-done authentically, maintaining the original character of the place. If you want an authentic experience we highly recommend it, if you want a 21st century motel, look elsewhere. We stayed here (for a second time) as we were driving Route 66 from Chicago to LA...

This place is fantastic! The owners were very friendly and accommidating. The room was cozy and like a step back into the 50s. I also loved the car port next to the room. The complimentary soap smelled great! It's the little things.

BREAK THE CHAIN! Travel just a short distance away from the I-40 off-ramp to experience the best of the past, with old-fashioned hospitality that is all too rare these days. The Blue Swallow Motel is a classic Motor Court established in 1939 on historic Route 66, and one of few anywhere still operating in its original configuration.
