Lovely place, neat and tidy, amazing showers and clean ablutions. Friendly owner willing to assist, No kids allowed so if you want a peaceful break it is the place to go. Loads of birds, plenty of walks to do and close to Riebeek Kasteel which is worth a visit to wonder around.

We decided last minute in December to get away for a couple of days. We tried a couple of campsites but they were fully booked. One thing that always prevents us from camping during the holidays is the noise factor and lots of screaming kids. Well we were so happy to have found Fish Eagle River lodge. Not only was...

We stayed in the self catering unit for the Valentine's weekend. The unit is well equipped and serviced daily. It is also very private with a separate entrance with a balcony and weber braai overlooking the pool and stunning views! It is a little bit away from Riebeek Kaseteel itself and there are no lights at night so upon reflection...

We booked for three nights and stayed for five! Tucked away round the corner from Hermon and Riebeeck Kasteel, and right on the river, we discovered a piece of paradise! Steve and Kay were there to welcome us and show us to the beautifully grassed and shady camp site, and from the time we arrived to the time we left,...

I could not recommend staying here more! We stayed in the camp ground and Kay and Steve could not have been more accommodating, from the minute we booked until we left. The camp sites are large, braai facilities are available, they are well lit of an evening so that you don't stumble into trees, and there are several super friendly...

We camped over during the Riebeek Kasteel Olive Festival 2-4th May, the owners pointed out that their camp site had been recently developed and were open to any suggestions for improvement. This attitude is commendable and I feel it unfair they have received negative comments from other guests. As it was a festival weekend the owners could have packed in...

The room we stayed in was lovely, liked having a fridge with ice and milk for the coffee. Only thing was that we could hear the guy next door snore. The hosts were very accomadating and there is really nothing else bad to say about the place, I'd stay there again if I was ever in the area.
