We just needed a place to stay for two nights while we were visiting Carlsbad Caverns. This is an old hotel, but it was clean and we had two queen size beds (comfortable) plus a cot, a table and chairs, and the requisite dresser with a TV. There was still plenty of room. The continental breakfast is pitiful consisting of...

We stayed in the RV Park for work. Close to the Carlsbad Caverns was a plus. Other than that, it was terrible. The picture you see when you look at their webpage is NOTHING what this place looks like. Some days you don't have water pressure, or any water at all. Water park is not open. Some neighbors who have...

The good: grassy area to pitch tent (not easy to keep a blade of grass alive here), water, flush toilets, showers, flocks of bats at night, short drive to caverns. The bad: bathrooms dirty and filled with insects -- living and dead (c'mon man fix the screens!). Bathrooms need a good hose down with a pressure washer, preferably filled with...

My husband and I have 6 kids, ages 3 years to 10 years. We were very skeptical about staying here with all the reviews but after driving by on our way to the Caverns and not spotting any serial killers hanging out by the office or razor blades in the pool we went for it. I have to say, I'm...

Stayed here for the location to the caverns and like the other reviews say it left some to be desired but overall it was fun for one night. But we like the crazy kinda motel wanna be a hotel... sometimes! The room was ok. No crazy things to report. Just a plain jane room. One perk... The night sky was...

There are too many things to mention, so I will hit a couple of the highlights: The commode was less than clean. When we had an issue with our remote, the desk clerk showed up with some guy in his pajamas. We assumed he was the maintenance man and that she woke him up to come to our room. We...

I spent two nights in the campground while visiting the caverns. Overall the campground is ok. Its got flush toilets, and showers, potable water throughout the property. But something just felt off about the place. Perhaps it was the fact that during peak tourist season, this campground was literally just outside the national park entrance, yet was mostly empty. Also,...

There might be a better tent camping area somewhere within 50 miles, but I haven't see it yet and am always open to suggestions. The tent camping area has more handily available facilities than most I've come across. Water within a stride, bathrooms close, and even showers. And a short walk brings you to Restaurant, Gift Shop, and Grocery. The...

First unsure to make a reservation because of the previous reviews but afterwards lucky that we did and positively surprised! First of all, White’s City is a very convenient location to visit Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks. We were accommodated in Walnut Inn. The room was spacious and very quiet and clean. The restaurant was very good. The...

White’s City is a great location to reach both National Parks Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains. We stayed in Walnut Inn. The room was spacious and absolutely quiet and clean. The staff of the motel was very friendly. The restaurant (JJ’s) was very good and the staff was very friendly as well. We did not have any of the following...
