Nxai Pan Camp is located in the Nxai Pan National Park, on the edge of an enormous dried lake bed. The camp staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very good. The main building is completely open, so any animals that come to the man-made waterhole can be watched during meals or while taking a swim. The cottages are...

Well, don't judge the camp by the road leading to it. If you're not used to thick sand you might find getting there very disturbing. However, this camp has brand new clean ablutions and seems to be not too busy. The best was that while you set up the tent the elephants walking through not far from you. We've stayed...

Nxai Pan has a fanstastic campsite with clean ablutions. You book with Xomai. The roads have very thick sand from the gate through to the campsite so you need to take it easy. There is also badly corrugated roads, a pitty that they don't grade the roads more frequently. There is only one watering hole with water currently. We saw...

We camped at Nxai Pan National park for 3 nights, the campsite was not too busy and it was nice and peaceful, the facilities were clean and there was hot water for showering, the road leading into the park from the tar was in a bad state and very corrugated, the sand in some places is quite thick and some...

The reviews I read did this campsite no justice. Given, they were dated 2013 and the ablution was renovated since. The spikes around the ablutions to keep the elephants away from the water pipes are fearsome to humans too, so we decided unanimously that it was not the safe place to run to should a lion pay us a nocturnal...

We stayed at Nxai Pan for three days in late May 2016. We did not realize it until we arrived, but the camp closed at the end of that week for its annual maintenance. The camp is the only private lodge in Nxai Pan National Park. The camp was definitely showing signs of wear, perhaps because it was the end...

We camped at site 8 in Naxi Pan. The camp site was ideal and very close to the ablution block. There were 6 of us .We enjoyed some excellent sightings , Lion, Elephant, jackal and numerous species of other animals. One of the highlights was seeing about 1000+ herd of Spingbok on the pan. We also enjoyed the bird life....

This is for sure a campsite in a remote location. There are new elephant proof ablutions with clean toilets and hot showers. You do need to pluck up the courage to step between the iron spikes and open the gate in the electrified fence to reach the ablution block but get brave! There is a hot shower for you inside!...

We arrived at the gates to the Nxai Pan quiet late in the afternoon only to be met by very sullen and less than friendly park staff. No 'hello' or smile or even much of an acknowledgment that we were even in the reception area... Never mind, full of our own smiles we asked if we could camp at Nxai...

We stayed here for 3 nights and had wonderful sightings of both game and birds. Campsite 1 was clean and dustbins were emptied every day. The ablutions were spotless with toilet paper and had hot water. The staff were very friendly and came to see that all was OK and shared valuable information about the roads and where to find...
