We stayed here 2 nights of our 25 night African journey. Things to do there: bushman walk, visit meerkat, ride quads, truck safari (day and night), horse back safari, sleep under the stars in the middle of the salt pan away from camp (amazing). I have a lot to say about this place (good and bad) but Tripadvisor keeps rejecting...

My family and I (grown children with their spouses + me and hubby) went on this absolutely amazing trip to San Camp in May. We had so many delightful experiences that several times during our 3 night visit we'd say "Are we REALLY here?" Honest. It was amazing. A few highlights: Breath taking beauty everywhere. Peaceful solitude as I've never...

My husband and I traveled to San Camp in mid August 2016. We chose San Camp for a couple of reasons, but the primary reason being that we wanted to do the 2-night excursion Kubu Island [which is deep into the Makgadikgadi Pans]. First, I really love the white tents at San Camp... it is absolutely as gorgeous as the...

we booked this camp to see the habituated meerKats which did not disappoint but there was so much more. From the beauty of the pan to large herds of wildebeest lions, cheetah. The stars were magnificent. The visit i the bush people was special. The accommodations, hospitality, meals all superb

We truly enjoyed our stay at San Camp in the Kalahari of Botswana. The camp is beautiful and the service we received from the entire staff and management was superb. The self taught camp chef created superb dishes and we were so pleased to be served instead of helping ourselves at a buffet like most other camps we've visited. We...

The best description for San Camp is a mirage in the middle of no where. A camp filled with African magic and a touch of "Arabian nights" the food is amazing, as well as the service. The game is different from other places in Botswana, but still magical, the meerkats are a must. My highlight of the stay where the...

Upon arrival San Camp seems like a movie set. The tents sitting in the desert landscape are magical. Afternoon tea is served in a central tent as you sit on pillows and enjoy the landscape. There is a peacefulness to the experience that is hard to describe. You really feel like you are a world away from everything. We rode...

The stark white tents can be seen from your plane as you arrive in this unique environment. The camp is situated on the edge of the Makgadigadi Pans with continuous sighting of wilderbeast and zebras migrating to and from the delta. The landscape it vast and eerie and you often see a mirage of light blue in the distance. The...

This was the last stop on our Botswana trip and the first camp not run by Wilderness Safaris. Seen from the air, San Camp is very distinctive: a series of white roofs in the middle of nowhere. On the ground it is just as striking with the white tents on the edge of the salt pans looking like a desert...

Nearly all reviewers use the word "magical" to describe this place and we concur! We spent 3 nights here, exploring the Kalahari, Chapman's Baobab, the newly designated national park (where another migration takes place...with fewer than 8 people in attendance...as opposed to the Serengeti!), and visiting with a troop of habituated meerkats who will sit on your head in order...
