First off the Kalahari is not a desert, but scrubland, so its best to go in the dry season (we didn't). That said Tanya serves the most scrumptious food, there are genets living up in the lodge rafters and we got to see several lions directly by our tent.

This Safari camp is the real deal; it puts you up close and personal with the wildlife that wanders around and sometimes into the camp. The accommodation looks very bush but is actually rather lovely with hot and cold running water and a choice of indoor and outdoor showers to add a bit of spice. The central lodge is very...

My third visit to this beautiful lodge situated in the Central Kalahari. The facilities gets better every time, the tents are revamped and really looks amazing. A shower under the stars, fantastic food and all and all an unforgettable experience that will keep me coming back. Thanks to Tanya and the crew for yet another fantastic 5-star experience.

We visited Haina as a family of Five - grandmother, parents and two adult children. From the moment we landed on the airstrip and were picked up by our ranger, Tati, to the moment we left we were treated to an experience of a lifetime. The main lounge area overlooks a water hole where all sorts of antelope and animals...

I spent a relaxing weekend with family at Haina lodge this past winter and was absolutely blown away by the experience. Highlights included hearing the lions roaring so close you could make out their breaths in-between roars, game drives, and sundowners on the strip. Such an unbelievable bush experience with wildlife, sunsets, lodging and service that would be difficult to...

We were lucky enough to spend a blissful week at Haina Kalahari Lodge recently. Haina is a spectacular place to visit - it's remoteness, untouched nature, abundant animal life, luxurious decor, roomy tens with great amenities and quality linen all make for a superbly relaxing and enriching experience. But, I don't think this alone is what sets Haina apart. What...

We had an incredible time at Haina. Tanja, our host was hands on all the time, without creating a feeling of being in a lodge. It felt like a private farm with space and time to do whatever we felt like, but always having access to great food and drinks without being on a schedule. The pool is fabulous in...

We had the most spectacular weekend at Haina Kalahari Lodge - not only is the food amazing, the service great, and the accommodation comfortable, but it stays true to an outdoor Kalahari experience with game drives, viewing points and walks. A great place to relax and experience nature.

We recently stayed at Haina lodge for a friends birthday, and although I had high expectations before, they were all surpassed in our 5 day stay. The rooms are very comfortable, and the unique design allows for for a 'camping' experience, without feeling completely exposed to the elements. The rooms and the rest of the lodge is luxuriously comfortable, without...
