Enjoyed a two night stay at this fantastic location, were upgraded to the magnificent Lee suite, rooms and decor very impressive, as were the dining and reception rooms. Dinner first class, though the breakfasts more average. Disappointed with the spa - treatment rooms and equipment could do with upgrade. All staff very friendly and obliging

We spent 3 days/2 nights at Hartwell House and were thoroughly impressed by the place. Starting with the very friendly check in, the ambiance of the Great Hall, the historic Morning and Drawing Rooms and the Library and last but not least the very friendly and helpful staff. All of these played their part in making our stay a great...

We had a lovely few days (one night stay) at Hartwell House. The Spa experience was extremely special. The staff in the Spa are all very professional and have excellent attitudes and get the welcome just right! A lot can be learnt from them - friendly, calm, professional and not pompous! The room we stayed in was very relaxing with...

Once again we visit Hartwell House for Sunday lunch as always a welcome from staff at the front door. Drinks on the terrace followed by a lovely lunch and coffee in the lounge. Good parking and a lovely outlook.

The location is stunning, the staff - from Paul at the entrance through Martin who I believe coordinates guest services to every other member of staff who assisted us - is the best trained staff we've encountered recently. The dinner was excellent and could compete and easily win over many of the super popular restaurants in Central London. The room...

The hotel is former mansion surrounded by large garden/park. Very traditional, almost luxurious interior, lot of nice lounge rooms... But all perfectly functional. Wifi stronger and faster then in most international hotels. Very different experience compare to international business hotels. Exactly like I would imagine English countryside premium / classy hospitality. Very classy but also fast and efficient hospitality. The...

The best bit of this hotel is probably the building itself- the historic setting is pretty unique. All the rooms were great, but one of our party stayed in a royal suite (used to be the bedroom of Queen Marie-Josephine of France!) that was particularly (even ridiculously) luxurious. The staff were really friendly and sorted out any requests straight away,...

What a lovely setting. However with no disabled parking & no parking signs by the Hotel door, I found it stressful. I realised later that guests do park by the door but Signage could be improved. Staff very helpful & room lovely with excellent views, use of a lovely spa with pool & treatments completed my de-stress. Lovely great hall,...

Gorgeous setting , elegant building and fine lounges and public rooms, apart from some library chairs which are overdue for replacement. Food good, but dinner service ( as expressed elsewhere ) exceedingly slow. Menu is limited and was not changed for our three night stay so we visited a local pub for last night...we saved a fortune, hotel lost out!!...

Very pleasant stay – tranquillity, peace!! As written on departure in the guest comment book at Reception on 10th April, prior to this Trip Advisor review by RSM47, Norwich. We appreciated these kind words on departure and would have been pleased to discuss the comments regarding dinner service and the others within this review, at the time of guest’s departure....

Hugely welcoming staff at a peaceful and stunning retreat. Historic and beautiful surroundings with a warm and informal atmosphere. Great food, and an ideally placed hotel if you want to explore the Buckinghamshire countryside.
