Environment: The whole house has a very warm, inviting and historic feeling. It was perfect for a getaway from NYC. The furnishings are unique and have both Eastern and Western, classical and modern origins. There are many exquisite paintings in the house, most - or perhaps all - by Mr. Lee, one of the hosts. There is also a great...

Room: top knotch. clean, spacious, and inspiring. Breakfast: warm quiche (vegetarian options!) from the local cafe and Mr. Lee was flexible about making us eggs too. Town/Location: Beacon has a lot to offer. We didn't even make it to Dia Beacon because we were caught up chatting with all the business owners rebuilding the town. Friendliest town and a hot...

My family booked three rooms at the Chrystie for a weekend reunion, and by the end of the weekend, we felt as if this gracious house was our home. The proprietor was charming, warm, and welcoming, and his beautiful house—cared for by him and his wife—was meticulously clean and absolutely gorgeous. They missed no detail. They clearly take pride in...

A friend and I stayed at the Inn early July and found it a delightful experience. The location is beautiful and peaceful and we enjoyed sitting on the porch with our glasses of wine each night. The room was tastefully furnished and the bed comfortable. We loved having the delicious breakfast on the patio each morning. The owner did a...

I stayed at the Chrystie House for two nights on an impromptu getaway from the city and it was perfecto. The William Few room is a very-comfortable-and-cozy throwback to days when ... Well, I'm not sure what days those were, but apparently at some point people built homes with high ceilings, wood floors, and thick walls and windows that block...

Located in a bucolic, woody area of Beacon, sits this lovely B&B. Close to Beacons sights, our room was cozy, clean, air conditioned, and quiet. The building is Federal style, built in the 18th century. A tranquil porch overlooks the treed surroundings. The breakfast was outstanding. Fresh fruit, scones, croussant, and a tasty quiche. For my wife and I the highlight of...

Beautiful rooms, great location, spacious grounds, and breath-taking views; the charm of the Chrystie House is matched only by the kindness of its hosts. I stayed at many bed and breakfasts, and I don't recall ever being so thoroughly impressed! Nor do I recall enjoying a meal this much. My friend agreed it rivaled any Manhattan brunch: Quiche, fresh scones,...

We stayed in the largest of the four rooms. It was spacious, had a nice love seat with a view. The bathroom had some wonderful, preserved features. The host/owner has done a loving, beautiful, historical renovation of the host. He is also knowledgeable about the history of the area and these grand old homes. The B&B is about 1 mile...

The Host? Superb. The House? An architectural gem beautifully restored. The Room? Comfortable and welcoming. The Location? In the heart of the Hudson Valley and close to a museum (DIA) a vineyard (Benmarl) and some very fine restaurants. The stay? Delightful.

The Chrystie House is a beautiful spot to stay. Yuan is a kind and attentive inn keeper - definitely very informed about Beacon and local politics :) The rooms are beautiful and breakfast is delicious. Thanks for a great stay.
