Have stayed here on two occasions. The rooms were fresh and clean. Eva Mae and Frank are delightful hosts. Eva Mae makes sure that you are starting each day with a wonderful breakfast. We stayed here for graduation week ends for 2 of our children that attended Ithaca College.

We stayed for the weekend at this charming B&B. Eva Mae, the adorable Scottish innkeeper, made our stay special and memorable. She has such pride & historic knowledge of Candor and her memories of her beloved Frank, professor and Innkeeper for decades. She shares about their life, travels and famous guests. This home has beautiful memories, stories of FDR and...

Thank you Eva May, for sharing your home with us! We had a great stay and enjoyed learning about your family history. Food was great, rooms were very comfortable and we had a grand time! Your property is beautiful! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and relaxing! The private parking area was a big bonus for us!

Next time we will be sure to base our decision to stay somewhere on RECENT reviews. The most recent review before ours was 1 1/2 years ago. Unfortunately since then, this place must have taken a big turn for the worse. Perhaps this is due to the death of the husband appr 1 1/2 years ago (who is still listed...

Edge of Thyme is a cute & homey B&B that really captures all the positive essences of its class. Professor and Mrs. Musgrave are super sweet; when we arrived, they were there waving at us through the warmly lit door (they knew exactly when we would be there, as Eva Mae had been giving me step by step directions on...

The hosts, Eva Mae and Frank, are delightful. The house is charming and homey. While you are there be sure to see the stain glass windows on the side porch. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet. Breakfast was suitable and filling. We booked the last minute and was given a very good rate. If you love...

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Edge of Thyme last weekend as I wanted to show my girl my old college town (Cornell University in Ithaca, NY). It's only about a 15 minute drive outside of Ithaca, so it's not too bad. I would have opted to stay closer in to town, but this was a big car racing...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Turn back the clock and spend time as you might have at the turn of the century. The well maintained historical home exists as it did then with its leaded glass windowed porch, marble fireplaces, parquet floors, beautiful stairway, gardens, pergola and gracious atmosphere. A full breakfast is served in a genteel manner. The Edge Of Thyme has received The Best Rural Bed and Breakfast in the world award as well as the Best afternoon Tea in the US and Canada twice. High Tea is served by reservation. ... more   less
