We went with two friends today to the Blue Boar Inn Temple Grafton, we were met by Stephen who took us to our table & gave us Menu. When he came for the order he remembered the whole order. The food was excellent a good and varied Menu for Sunday Lunch.the staff were very pleasant too. The Desserts were delicious...

If you want to be made welcome, eat dainty finger sandwiches and home made cakes/ scones, don't buy a voucher for this once lovely country pub! Took my friend for a treat, was made to feel like I hadn't got the right voucher. Asked for plain scone, couldn't get any, asked for mainly ham sandwiches, got half cheese and pickle!...

The door was swollen and could not be opened from inside the room, a staff member had to put their shoulder to the door to open it. They told us that the owner had known about this for some weeks. The hot water was at the end of the circuit and consequently was tepid by the time it reached us....

Stayed a night on a business trip and it was good. Clean, good bed, the bathroom in need of some updating (as they often are). Tv and remote working. Nice meal & a good selection of beers from tap. Plenty of parking. A normal full english for breakfast. Nothing to complain about - and nothing extraordinary.

Stayed for one night and thought it was very good. It's a very old traditional English pub, flagstone floors, beams, even a well in the floor with goldfish in it! Room was clean, bed was comfy, staff we're lovely and breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Really good size room, over the bar, but not too noisy. Good supply of clean towels, large wardrobe, excellent choice of TV channels. Large bathroom, good modern shower. A really wide choice on the dinner menu, food was well prepared and well presented. Super size breakfast freshly prepared. I would certainly stay here again.

I booked two rooms to stay for two nights for 4 people and two dogs. The rooms were definitely in need of an upgrade but were certainly clean, as was the bedding. Rooms aside, the biggest draw at The Blue Boar Inn is certainly the staff and the evening meal. We ate there both evenings and both meals were absolutely...

We were working in the village for four days and needed a local place to stay. Very welcoming staff and great real ale and food. The rooms were comfortable, crisp linen, clean and loved; if in need of a make over soon. Folk night on Monday and open mic night on Wednesday which featured rock musicians, of all ages. Worth...

We had booked, well in advance, for 2 rooms for 3 people and we were given set rooms. On the agreed time to check in, we were told that the second room would be a different room. Which considering we planned to be next to each other was disappointing, the clue was when they could not find the key! Explanations...
