Two couples visiting Cooperstown for the first time, we were fortunate enough to reserve the Carriage House…two bedrooms, kitchenette, 2-1/2baths and shared living room. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfie! We had a lovely breakfast each morning at 8:30. There was nice variety over our three mornings…waffles, eggs, baked French toast always accompanied by fruit and breakfast meats. This quaint inn is convenient to Main Street, several restaurants, the BHOF, and ball fields.

White House inn is a gem! Warm, cozy with comfort of guests a priority. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious! Staff are friendly and attentive. Sherri was especially helpful in providing us with restaurant recommendations and directions to Cooperstown attractions. The Inn is in walking distance to the Baseball Hall of Fame, Parks and Main Street.

You cannot beat the location of this inn. Walking distance to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the center of Cooperstown.
The folks who work here obviously love what they do. They are very welcoming. Breakfasts are good. And the place is very clean.
Our only gripe is that some of the rooms are not easy for older folks like us to get to. So if you have mobility issues, call the inn before you go to make sure you have one of the first floor rooms. The back stairs are very steep and very shallow, making getting upstairs to our room a bit of a chore. Our room also had a huge step that we had to negotiate in order to get into the bathroom.
But the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the room is well equipped.
We’re doing a trip south this summer and we are staying at several B&B’s. Now we know to call before we go to make sure we can get to our room without a struggle.

Charming and quaint. Breakfast was delicious. Hosts were extremely willing to help and gave us great dinner suggestions. Rooms are small which one has to expect in an old Inn. Therefore I gave it a 4 rating as there is not much privacy in the upstairs rooms as there is a sitting room which another couple was hanging out in. The sitting room is between the 3 upstairs bedrooms. The downstairs rooms have more privacy.

Our first choice would never be a B and B. We understood this, as the name suggests, to be an Inn. It was a little" too cozy" initially. The Inn's "quaint," old fashioned furnishings grew on us. We must have missed the photos! I wouldn't suggest our room as the one to reserve, though. It had a sitting room/library with a TV before entering the bedroom but no place to sit and it couldn't be locked unless you were there. We would have put our luggage in that space but then anyone could enter that room while we were gone. That room opened directly into the dining room and people sitting in the chairs had to move when going for breakfast. We didn't spend much time here so it was OK. The food was yummy every day.

As a business traveler I have developed a scrutinizing sense for genuinely par excellence treatment and accommodations. This past week at the White House Inn, this Bed and breakfast will be indelibly etched into memory. Ed Landers, the owner waited on me after a delayed flight on Christmas Eve! Did everything possible to ensure that my delayed baggage was delivered to me. Gave me a cup of coffee with a radiant, contagious smile and personally escorted me to his extended stay accommodations.
John, the manager was the penultimate concierge during the week as I worked and explored Cooperstown. Always ready to “warm me up” with a cup of coffee at breakfast, and share assistive insight to a wonderful Cooperstown experience. Thankfully, they are 1 block away from Main Street. Great restaurants, Baseball Hall of Fame and other attractions are within a 5 minute walk.
Can’t wait to come back to The White House Inn!

We stayed in the Red Room for a fantasy baseball camp and the staff were so accommodating and offered breakfast every morning. The location was right across from Doubleday Field and it was super close to everything in town. They will work with you on arrival times if you come a little later after checkin as well, which was nice. Thanks Ed, John, and the entire crew for your amazing hospitality!

Wonderful, comfortable, small inn close to downtown Cooperstown. Delicious breakfast served each morning and included in the rate. We had the east and west suites located a short distance from the main inn. Each suite has a bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen and living room. We enjoyed the spacious accommodations and are already booked for next year.

Two other couples and my husband and I stayed at the White House Inn while visiting the Baseball Hall of fame. From the minute that you walk into the home, you feel like you are staying with friends. Ed and his staff are so warm and inviting and make you feel right at home. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the table was set so beautifully. The home is about a five minute walk to the Hall of Fame and so many great restaurants. This home and the whole City of Cooperstown is like a Norman Rockwell painting.

Cooperstown was the last stop on our 10 day journey that started in OH and continued to the Finger Lakes. Getting to Cooperstown and finding The White House Inn was the beginning of a fantastic journey! John and staff were very friendly, accommodating, and thoughtful. So nice to meet a fellow Texan in the lovely State of New York. From watching the Astros playoff games to the "breakfast for the rode" the day we left. The White House Inn is walking distance to The HOF and the many shops and restaurants in downtown Cooperstown.
