There is a huge backyard with a wooded area at the end - where we saw numerous deer. There is also a fire pit which is lit, (weather permitting), with chairs, and a supply of firewood. Smores kits are available at the reception desk. A very nice touch, and a great way to spend some time in the outdoors during the evening.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We stayed in the Metcalfe suite. It was located at the rear of the inn up a flight of stairs. Be aware as with most inns, there are no elevators.
The bed was very comfortable, and we had a sitting area with a sofa and table. I would stay in this room again - although the thought of not lugging suitcases up the stairs is appealing.
The bathroom was rather large, and very functional, and had a window for natural light. Be sure to close the blind when in use!
The ventilation system kept the room comfortable and was not noisy.
The breakfast room was well decorated and the huge windows made it feel very open. Breakfast was very good both days, and service was attentive. My wife was appreciative of the temperature of the hot water for her tea.
When you check in they ask what time you would like to have breakfast. There is also an option, (for a charge - I think), to have it delivered to your room.
There is a lovely living room on the main floor and some chairs outside on the porches if you want to sit out of your room and read, or just be.
The wifi worked well, and without issue. Parking is available onsite, which is great because parking in Cooperstown is somewhat limited .
In the breakfast room there is also a supply of snacks and coffee available if you get peckish.
We stayed in the Chance Suite, a huge room with a private entrance, super comfy bed and pillows, dream shower, and jacuzzi tub stocked with signature bath and body products by Hudson Made.
Breakfast is prepared with herbs and veggies from their garden. Dietary restrictions are thoughtfully accommodated. We were served Pumpkin pancakes, an Omelette Roll, and a Boursin souffle during our three-day stay. Clean Plate Club! Breakfast recipes are happily shared with guests—just ask!
Pick up your S'mores package at the front desk. Roast your marshmallows at the fire pit in the large yard behind the inn. Lounge in a gigantic hammock as you stare at a million stars in the sky. Late-night munchies? On the way to your room, grab complimentary snacks and homemade cookies and thoughtfully set out for you after the staff goes home for the night.
Landmark has taken great care to source everything locally. The merch wall displays Landmark Inn swag, including coffee mugs and sweatshirts with the Landmark logo and larger-size signature bath and body products by Hudson Made, ready for you to take home.
Landmark Inn's goal is "to delight our guests by providing genuine care, superior comfort, and engaging experiences from the heart." Every moment was filled with good vibes and kindness. Well done, Landmark! I can't wait to see you again.
We stayed in the Twain room with a king bed and wonderful sheets!!! We had a walk in shower and twin sinks.
Breakfasts were delicious and served on beautiful China with tablecloths and fresh flowers .
Every night we enjoyed the gorgeous fire pit and s’mores.
Loved walking to the Cooperstown hall of fame and the art museum. Lots of restaurants walking distance too.
The entire staff was so friendly and helpful !!!!
Throughout our stay we were introduced to staff and owners and everyone made us feel at home and like family. It was easy to see that the care being given was very sincere.
The Inn is beautiful inside and out. It has all the "old time" comforts you hope for and also conveniences of modern technology. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable and had many amenities. We greatly appreciate that the Landmark has wonderful 1st floor rooms, as well, for those of us with mobility limitations.
The breakfasts were so enjoyable, beautifully presented and served with much care. We were sorry to only be staying 2 days and miss seeing what great creation would be served next. Coffee, tea and snacks are available throughout the day.
When we returned home, I realized that I was missing the Landmark and those who make it special. We will definitely go back when able.
If I could give 10 stars, I would! Treat yourself to the Landmark Inn experience, you won't be disappointed!
There were cookies in the lobby, and fire pit s'more kits available. Our room was large and very comfortable. The shower had a rain shower head, as well as two side shower heads with jets. The inn itself is a beautiful, updated Victorian with all the charm of the architecture still intact. The town of Cooperstown, is in easy walking distance to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and many restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again, when in the area.
"It's actually walking distance from 'town' and a couple of good restaurants and all the shops as well as the Otesaga Hotel. "Read full review
