Staff were all friendly and helpful in providing information about the area. The room was adequate in size and bed was very comfortable. Continental breakfast was very nice - two different kinds of quiches were tasty. Location was the best. Easy walking distance to everything! Would stay there again.

We had a wonderful time on a birthday weekend. We stopped in early on our day of arrival to see if we could park at the Inn before going to the Baseball Hall of Fame. They could not have been more gracious in agreeing to our request. The rooms are cozy with a nice updated "vintage" bathroom. The breakfasts were very tasty, but the dining area was a bit crowded at the times we chose to eat. Cooperstown is wonderful. We were able to walk everywhere and never moved the car after our arrival until we left for home. The fall colors were very pretty although we might have been about a week late. The bakery on the corner was wonderful for coffee and sweets. I am so glad we were able to cross this trip off our bucket list in such a pleasant and fun way.

Perfect. No flaws whatsoever. Celiac-friendly breakfast with dedicated bread and breakfast items. Beautiful premises and courteous and attentive staff. Our room was spacious and cozy with a well-appointed bathroom. The website clearly states there isn't an elevator. Thank you!

The inn is all you imagine. Step back in time to a simpler place. Big comfortable beds, all you need in a bathroom and communal areas that are delightful. Perfect Wi-Fi connection. We woke to a fire set in the sitting room and a fabulous breakfast buffet. Sitting and rocking out on the porch in the sun was so relaxing. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. Impeccable management. Friendly, charming and helpful. Could not recommend highly enough. Thanks for making this part of our road trip in the fall really special.

The staff was exceptional and most helpful. A few points worth noting- we are seniors and didn’t think to ask about room location…yep, 3rd floor with no elevator. We were told upon arrival that no other room was available. It might be helpful for staff to bring this up during reservation process. Also, coffee and tea available for porch and common areas would be a welcome touch.

Just spent a lovely two night stay at the Inn at Cooperstown. We spotted it when we were here two years ago and knew then we wanted to give it a try. It didn't disappoint. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room, while not huge, was well appointed with a super comfy king sized bed and the linens lulled us to sleep. Breakfast was very good - nothing terribly original - but plentiful and tasty. Our favorite part was the front porch. I could sit there all day with a book and a drink- rocking away and people watching. The Inn is 29 steps from Main St and couldn't be better located. 5 min walk to Hall of Fame and 10 min drive to Glimmerglass Festival. It was just great

We stayed at the Inn after attending Glimmerglass Opera. It was quaint, and I had booked the only room available, which was wonderful for me. I had a stroke, and the room was handicapped equipped. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic. I will indeed return to the Inn next time we come to the Glimmerglass Opera.

We chose this inn for location and its good reviews. We traveled with my 6 year old son. Not many smaller inns welcome young children. We’re so glad this one does! The location was perfect, only a few minutes walk to the hall of fame, Otesaga resort, lake and anything in downtown Cooperstown. There’s a large parking lot behind the inn. The staff was all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of choices. The inn is a bit worn, but to be expected for a historic old building. The other guests were also friendly.

Well, it looks like it is time for a change. Due to new neighbors on both sides of the Inn, this may be our last visit to TIAC. It was memorable for all the wrong reasons. We've visited for 22 years now. We feel bad for the new owners because some of our review is out of their control. Foul language during the day and especially in the evenings made our relaxing on the porch almost impossible from the neighboring "apartments" that have been created over the past few years. (Not the apartments that were built). If we had been in the Luxury Suite we would have asked to change room to be put in the main house. The Suite is a pretty penny to stay in and we have booked it for three special visits but there would be no way I'd listen to all that noise, music and foul-language. Hotel common areas are looking rundown and one evening no front lights were on at all, not even the inside living room area. We had to use our phone light to see the entry to unlock the door @ 9pm. Not the welcoming we have ever encountered. Little details are nice and make a stay memorable; to see that the soaps were changed (at least for our room and stay) was a shock. When you spend over $300 a night, you would expect higher end soaps. Another detail that IAC had going for them was waking up to the fresh smell of the daily muffins. It sets you apart from other Inns. That is no longer a thing. Muffins were cold and mushy. They may seem like small details that some would ignore but when you expect something and it's been working this long. Why would you ever change it? We unfortunately will be looking to make a change in one of our favorite places to visit. Cooperstown will still be the same and we will just go on to make new memories at another Inn. It was a long fun ride. :-)

Response from Rachel G, General Manager at The Inn at Cooperstown
Responded 6 Jul 2023
We’re so sorry to hear we didn’t meet your expectations during your recent visit. Had we known about any of these issues during your stay we would have addressed them immediately. As the Inn’s new manager, I have been working closely with the previous owners to continue the authenticity and care that they gave to the Inn. It is unfortunate that we did not meet your expectations, as you have been a long standing guest at the Inn and your patronage is appreciated. Little details such as the smell of muffins in the morning are some of the things we are still learning along the way since being under new ownership. To address a few concerns, certain soap has been difficult to restock due to shortages with supply chains, but we are doing our best to restock specific items that give a stay at the Inn that special touch. To my knowledge, this is the first year that those apartments have been rented out. We are working with the landlord as well as the local authorities to manage noise levels. Unfortunately, if it’s not within the Inn there is only so much we can do to keep the noise level to a minimum. We have regular check-ups in the evening to ensure noise is not a problem and we have had no further issues. To address the common areas; they are cleaned and dusted daily. We’ve been receiving great reviews on cleanliness, but we apologize if we did not meet your expectations from past experiences. I’ve spoken with our evening front desk associate about the porch lights and they will both be staying on. We do turn some lights off in the evening in the common areas when those areas are not in use. We always leave the lights on near all phones provided in case of an emergency, both of which are on the porch and in the seating area. Again, your long standing patronage at the Inn is sincerely appreciated and we wish we could have addressed your concerns on a personal level during your stay. Please, feel free to contact us with any other thoughts. We I hope you have a wonderful day!
