It’s clear that the $170 per night is due to the fact there is no competition in this town. We stayed one night, and you would have to pay me to stay a second. A land of contrast - cute paint job, but furniture is reminiscent of second hand rejects. Electric chargers, but the bed lamps don’t work. Smoke smell in the bathroom, no screens on the windows, terrible noise from neighbors and staff who live here..I would pay $50 for the nice pillows, good wifi and decent, to go breakfast. But next time we’ll go the extra 30 minutes to Oneonta.

The room at Buena Vista was cozy, simple, and a pleasant stay for one evening. My boyfriend and I spent a Thursday evening here for the purpose of visiting SUNY Delhi, a five minute drive away. The rooms are a little dated, but has basically everything you need (full closet for hanging garments, iron). The bathroom is equipped with soap and packets of shampoo, but be sure to bring your own hair dryer. The bed was spacious and comfortable.
They have breakfast in the morning, but we didn't participate in it, but I did see cereal, oatmeal, and coffee.
My only complaint was that they wifi didn't work at all; there must have been a problem during our stay. So doing any kind of work here was impossible - just a heads up. I have Verizon, so I didn't have service at all. My boyfriend has AT&T, so he was fine.

We were working the Taste of the Catskills Festival down the road. The choice was a local spot or a 35 minute drive up to Oneonta for a name brand chain. Sure the chain hotels were a bit fancier, the rooms would be bigger. Truth be told, after a 10 hour day at the Festival, I wanted a local meal and a short drive to my bed. This served the purpose. Could this place use bit of sprucing up? Sure, but I've seen plenty of name brand places that could as well. The room I was in was small, but it had all I needed. A decent WIFI signal, a desk with adequate light, a working bathroom with a clean shower, clean unstained sink and decent hot water, clean towels. You can keep your fancy soaps and mini shampoo/rinse/lotion bottles - I bring my own wherever I go, so the fact that they were absent here was of no consequence to me.The heating system worked, there were no peculiar odors, the bed was a bit squeaky but I awoke without a backache which is a great plus for me. The breakfast is really not a breakfast - enough to keep you from starving but not a breakfast. Head to the Delhi Diner instead. I'd certainly stay again.

I stayed in this motel for 2 nights and it's truly one of the friendliest hotels I've been in and I've been in quite a few lately. Unlike the cookie cutter sterile name hotels this place is like being home. They take extra care to decorate and provided a lovely free breakfast they take speculate to sterilize everything so you don't need to worry about the virus. Rooms have a door leading directly outside so you don't have long balls to get lost in. The TV was large and new plus I has a microwave & fridge in the room w mg such was very clean. In the main check in area where breakfast was available they have many tables which beautiful centerpieces and a very peaceful & calm atmosphere. The bonus was the fish tank which has 5 Orange and red fish which seem very well cared for. Don't pass this motel up --looks are deceiving. It's unassuming from the outside but very comforting on the inside. The couple who run the motel are totally focused on providing the best Ser I've possible for their guests. Nicest people I've encountered in a long while. Plus if course they n ave An excellent internet signal wh such is more than I can say if some of t he more well known hotels. Located within walking distance to town which has a few a different restaurants to choose from as well.

When we checked in they gave us a key to a room that was already occupied. They then upgraded us to a room that had been left open. They said they were airing it out because it had been mopped. The truth is it was very musty. They then gave us a third room which had cracked tiles in the bathroom. We had booked a queen size bed but this room only had 2 double beds. I asked for one I had booked I was told there was no other rooms available.
The other couple we were traveling with had a very musty room and had to ask for room freshener to make it bearable.
Breakfast consisted of a bag delivered the day before. My wife had cereal in a baggie.
Overall a very bad experience.

My daughter goes to SUNY Delhi and we need a local place to stay. Speaking to many people in town we were adivsed not go here. We figured how bad could it be. We went to look at a room before booking....it smelled, it was dingy and the women who showed us the room acted annoyed. Unfortunately there is no other hotel in town. We did find a great bed and breakfast in Hobart which is a 15 minute drive from Delhi.

After staying here 10 years ago for college reunions. My husband and I thought nothing of staying at the Buena Vista. However we must not have put In to account how inebriated we were in the past. This place is a flat out dump!! I will preface with the service was very nice an accommodating for our late arrival. However that's were it ends. 1. Walked into room smelled like an old smokers home, with chemical paint fumes to try and cover up( not comforting when you have 17month old with you). 2. Pillows smell lime old sweat 3. We froze all night since we needed the window open for fresh air. But the heat wouldn't turn on to warm us up in am. 4. Stained towels 5. Shower is stained, small and not recommend for anyone over 5ft tall d/t shower heads lack of hight 6. Holes in walls and liquid stains on them 7. Breakfast consisted of moldy English muffins, coffee & oj. So McDonalds for breaki it was. So unless your a college kid on a budget and are inebriated so you won't remember your stay. I would not recommend this place unless serious renovations take place. They did do the exterior which looks very nice. But obviously lost the "home away from home" feel o. The interior.

We found the room to be pretty basic but comfortable and clean.Nothing fancy, but also reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly plus its very close to Suny Delhi. Nice little breakfast area too. Will be back when school opens for move in day

This place is very out dated and dirty! The owners are disrespectful! Over priced! Spiders under sheets !! We have no other options in this town or we would have asked for refund and out the door! If you have the choice check out some other options in the next town!

Not sure how AAA came up with the rating, by far not a comfortable place. I was doing business with a company in Delhi, and when I told them I was staying here the reaction was less than spectacular. I was told I should bring my own linens as the Motel was not what you would call clean. I did bring my own towels, thank goodness, and wished I had taken my own sheets. This place has not been updated since the day it opened. There were holes in the wall that they put decals over to hide them. Think they are not too worried as they know they are the only game in town. The man at the desk was extremely pleasant, wish I could say the same for the woman who took over for him. All in all, think I would have rather driven a bit than to have stayed here. Most definitely would not recommend or will be returning.
