Always love coming back to the "family"...very extended. Ginger has done such a wonderful job of making sure the accommodations are comfortable and have great character..Amazing in this isolated place. Yummy eats too.

We came here for our 44th Wedding Anniversary and we loved it!!! I loved how remote it was and how it was not easy to get to (you have to take their barge across the Stillwater Reservoir and then drive about 8 miles on a dirt road to get to the Lodge.) I loved the serenity, the simpleness of the...

The moment you near Stillwater Resevoir, there is an odd feeling. It feels like something else is beckoning, a sense that you are about to take a journey from which you may not want to return. At the far reaches of water, a road, traveled upon by and reachable by nearly anyone. The end of which brings a storybook fantasy...

We have coming for years with our families. Wonderful place to unwind and spend time with family. This has been a family run business and they make you feel right at home. We stay in mama bear cabin, plenty of room for 6-8 people.

My wife and I just spent two weeks in beaver river with our two daughters, their ages are 5 and 9. It was a very special trip for me. My first visit to the Norridgewok was 30 years ago, I was 19 at the time and was traveling alone. I was blown away by the vastness of the surrounding wilderness....

Cannot get there by car. Took a gorgeous boat ride down Stillwater Reservoir to get there. Had no idea. What a great "off the grid" place. Big Bon fire, cold drinks and live music made for a great day.

Norridgewock is in a remote area that is only accessible by boat during the non-winter season and by snow mobile during the winter. They produce their own eletricity for the facilities from a generator. The Norridgewock offers a 'Snooze and Cruise" package which includes a narrated boat tour, hotel room, lunch, dinner and breakfast. Our hotel room was comfortable and...

This is the perfect place to relax & just have a great time. We spent 4 nights in Baby Bear cabin. It was just what we needed - no phone, internet, tv, radio. Just trails & roads & shore to explore. The Thompson family does a great job with this place. They are wonderful to deal with. Very low key...

The Norridgewock was a unique experience. We found it by accident when looking for a place to make a weekend trip in the Adirondack region. The family who has run this lodge for about 3 generations brings you by ferry to their natural remote spot. They are freindly, they entertain you, cook for you, provide your lodging and all you...
