What a really beautiful B&B! There are four rooms. I stayed in the Red Toile room and it was big and airy and light with antique furniture. Perfect! I don't think I have ever seen a more cleaner room. Bathroom was very nice with jetted tub and separate shower. The great room for all the guests was very large with... More

The Cameo Rose room at The Shearwater Inn in the Hamptons was a little small relative to a commercial hotel room, but adorably decorated and extremely clean. The bathtub/shower was roomy, and had jets and great water pressure. The bed was a little hard, but didn't keep me from sleeping. Management was very nice. We were provided with a map... More

What a lovely lovely inn in east Quogue! We were greeted immediately, presented with maps, beach passes, and activity ideas. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room, table set beautifully and the food...outstanding! French toast Saturday and eggs on Sunday. When I mentioned my husband doesn't eat eggs, a substitute was instantly suggested... More

We spent a couple of nights in the Hampton's and really loved the Shearwater Inn. Maureen (the owner) was excellent... supremely helpful with advice on where to eat, where to go and what to do - and you should be aware that beach parking passes are provided too (you can pay $20-$40 a day parking at the beach, so these... My husband and I stayed at the Shearwater Inn over the summer and we had a wonderful time. Our room was beautiful and spotless, and Maureen was a lovely host. Both mornings our breakfast was spot on, and it was fun talking to Maureen about the area before heading out for the day. We always stay at B&Bs instead of... More

We stayed for 4 night's early May and as the main weekends away for New Yorker's hadn't begun we were the only guests staying and felt very spoilt with THE most amazing breakfasts that Maureen made us. It was the perfect chillout after our trip to NYC. The house itself is immaculate and we were made to feel very welcome... More

My husband and I decided to spend a few days in the Hamptons and stumbled across The Shearwater Inn via the internet...What luck! Spacious, quaint & clean rooms; living area indoors & outside deck to relax. Beach passes, towels, chairs, etc were provided; in addition to a delicious home cooked breakfast. As for the hosts, Maureen & Tom, hospitable, accommodating,... More

We stayed here only for 2 nights, but wished it could have been longer. Maureen was very hospitable, providing us with lovely breakfasts, beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and beach passes, which set us up for the day. Our room was large, as was the living area where we could sit and relax after dinner out at one of the many... More

We stayed here over July 4th weekend and this was a great place to stay while visiting the Hamptons. The breakfasts were great, and our hosts were gracious and accommodating. The beach passes are invaluable as they give you access to some beaches for free that either are unavailable without the pass or would cost $30 for the day. We... More

The place is great. Very welcoming. Our room was lovely and immaculate. Breakfast was delicious. We were provided with passes, chairs and umbrellas to our choice of several area beaches. Can't wait to have another get away weekend there soon.
