We have been in Kurumba hotel in beginning of January 2021. It was an exceptional stay. The staff is lovely and always smiling. I really recommend this hotel especially for families with kids. Thank you to Kurumba staff( Spa team, photographer and everybody)
The island is very well laid out and has the great advantage of being very close to Male airport. We had accommodation at the villa with pool plus the maximum all inclusive package, so we didn't miss anything. In addition, we took a day of ocean fishing and a day trip to a small atoll where we sunbathed and ate fresh fish on the mobile grill. The place is beautiful, worth coming back to
We were so lucky to be able to get away for Christmas and spend it at Kurumba. This was our 5th visit here and it was as wonderful as ever. Kurumba is always immaculately clean and tidy, but they have gone even further to ensure the resort is safe during these virus worrying times. We truly relaxed for the first time in months. The staff are the jewel in Kurumba’s crown, you will receive a warm smile from every single one, every time. We would especially like to thank Amel in Kandu, who never stops smiling and makes the most amazing cocktails, Upul and Hilary, Azmeel in Thila with his cheeky grin and love of everything chicken 😉, Shahu and Suzee, Chef Nanda and his team, Govind for being so attentive and kind, Ali (Shameed) for his daily smile and welcome palm message in our room, to Kagi for making our snorkelling and sand bank trips so special. The management team have worked so well to get Kurumba up and running again after the enforced break, the gardens are immaculate, house reef and lagoon pristine and food choices unrivalled. Above all it is safe - they have taken Covid seriously and you can see the measures taken to protect guests and staff everywhere. If you want unrivalled levels of service, great food with a choice of restaurants, the best house reef with such a variety of beautiful fish, turtles, shark, rays all a few steps away from your sun bed (you’ll see it all snorkelling or diving), and a chance to switch off, forget Covid and chill out then go to Kurumba! Andrew, Ali and Janne - thank you once again for such a memorable holiday, we are already planning our return! …
Stayed for 3 nights in a pool villa and had an amazing time. Chose the property due to its location and proximity to the airport. Perfect as it’s so easy to get in and out. Granted the scenery has changed over the years as the nearby airport and islands are being developed, but it’s all good. It’s the people who work there that make it a special place. Came for business this time, but will certainly be back for some relaxation on the next trip. Recommend the dolphin trip, and the seafood restaurant.
Just returned from an amazing 10 days at Kurumba Maldives with wife and two kids (aged 7 and 9). Beachfront room, golden sand, beautiful waters, good food and a team of staff that could not do more to make the holiday special. Also only 10min from the airport - holiday starts immediately. I would recommend this place to anyone. It was our second time there and will not be our last. Family of four - two adults and two kids (aged 7 and 9). Everyone had an amazing time. 10 days. Kids club staff were great, arranged a lot of activities around Christmas for the kids including a fully dressed Santa (who must have been overheating in that costume!). Well done to Isha and the team for arranging, kids had a blast. Activities centre was great, arranged some snorkelling. For the first time we actually got trained on using the snorkelling equipment. There is a reef just outside the resort which was great fun for the amateur. They had other snorkelling trips which unfortunately we did not make. Big shout out to Isha, Baais and the whole team. Food was brilliant. Would be good to have done with more vegetarian options on all the menus, but then whenever we asked, we had special vegetarian dishes made by the chef, so was never an issue. It's a shame more Indian dishes are not openly available in the breakfast buffet, but if you ask they will make anything including dosas, uthapam and even crepes. The F&B manager Govind and Miho, the guest relations manager, made sure that our stay was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I would not hesitate for a moment about recommending this place to anyone. As some reviewers have stated, you can hear planes and see the industrial Island of Male, but that all fades into the background very quickly and being just 10min from the airport by speedboat was a massive advantage. It meant our holiday started immediately and leaving at 7am was absolutely fine to catch a 9am flight back out. The sunset cruise and dolphin trip was a highlight - we saw so many dolphins!!! This was our second trip to Kurumba and definitely won't be the last.…
