Me and a few friends decided to do some "camping lite" and enjoy a weekend of fall camping at Moreau State Park! We picked the perfect weekend and we got great sites! The only Loop open was "A" so we got two adjacent spacious sites #21 and #23 on top of a steep hill overlooking the lake through the trees....

Gorgeous surroundings and spacious sites. There are ski trails for winter use. Fire pits are on each site. Bathrooms are clean. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 9 am. We are early risers so we made our coffee in the bathroom. Our favorite campground was Vermillion Lake in South Dakota, but this is a close second.

Clean, modern cabin however beware there is no kitchen or bath! The cabin is furnished with a queen size bed, a bunk bed, large kitchen table and chairs, coffee table and a dorm fridge. Bring bedding of course. Access to the cabin is down a steep sandy pedestrian path. There's parking for two cars at the head of the path....

We just tent camped Moreau Lake State Park with 4 kids (ages 15, 10, 8, and 5) and 2 adults. The site was huge and very private! Nice wooded site with plenty of room for our 2 cars, 2 tents and hammock, and lots of extra space. Our cars blocked our view of our neighbors on one side we couldn't...

We headed to Moreau Lake because I wanted to rent kayaks and had heard good things. We arrived at about 10:15am and paid $8 to enter the park, I believe that rate changes seasonally. There was ample parking and we stopped in first at the bathrooms, which were large and very clean. The fee to rent a kayak was $20...

We have been here many times and it is always a pleasure. The bathrooms are kept clean on a daily basis. The showers are adequate. The camp sites are roomy and they clean out the fire pits after every camper leaves so the next people have a clean camp stove to start. I would shy away from using their firewood....

We have visited here many times for day trips and it was always a great experience. The picnic facilities are well equipped and spotless. This time we opted for two overnights in the campsites. We booked online, you should receive registration info. in your email and you can register online a well. First upon arrival, the people at the gate...

A friend of our suggested spending the day here for something different to do. We arrived around 11am and found paking close by to plenty of picnic tables and grills. We found a spot under some shade trees with a great view of the lake and close to the facilities. There are no garbage cans here and you have to...

This campground is one of the nicest places in the Saratoga region to visit to get your taste of the great outdoors. I go here for a quick get away. I'm from the area and I find the lake here very enjoyable.

We camped at Moreau Lake State Park and had a very respectable time. It's very quiet at night, especially where we stayed in "C" Loop, and didn't hear any Northway traffic although we expected to. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were hot. There are no electric or water hookups, at least not in "C" Loop, and although...
