From the moment we arrived, Joel and his amazing team were absolutely brilliant with my mischievous 3 year old boy.. accommodating with meals and entertaining him throughout the time we were there... such an adventure in our tree house, and can't wait to visit again

We had a fabulous trip with our two young boys. Service was exceptional and they catered to the boys and my Coeliac Disease food requirements. Happy and friendly experience would definitely recommend it. guides were lovely, felt like a visit home.

Our guide did not leave any stone unturned to make us enjoy Hwange Park and the concession even if it means starting our trip at 5:30 a.m and returning to Ivory Lodge after 18:00. The staff are very nice and made sure we were comfortable. It is a nice lodge to be close to nature while enjoying an excellent service.

Ivory Lodge has treehouses with view on a waterhole. Our guide Peter was really friendly and knew everything about the animals in Hwange National Park. The other staff was friendly aswell and the food was really good.

What more can I say? Upon our arrival at the Ivory Lodge, we were greeted by Jamie, her staff and over 100 elephants by the watering hole. It was quite a treat for us and we made our way down to the "hide" to be closer and observe. Jamie and her staff did a fantastic job making us feel right...

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the Ivory Lodge for New Years 2017 (29 Dec 2016 - 1 Jan 2017). From the initial greeting by the staff upon our arrival, through the day we departed, everything was perfect. The staff was very helpful in moving our luggage to our room, and providing a quick tutorial on important aspects...

Went in March 2016 but only found time to write a review now. I arrived at the lodge during sunset and two elephants greeted us among our arrival. This was followed by a herd of elephants and a herd of buffalo at the waterhole during dinner. Jamie told us that we were lucky to spot both Buffaloes and Elephants at...

Wonderful hosts with friendly and attentive staff. The food was fantastic. Our game drive was wet initially but drier later and our ranger was very knowledgeable and hospitable. Overall a beautiful setting and a memorable stay.

Hello there. Thank you so much for taking the time to review our very special Ivory lodge and thank you for choosing to stay there. Hwange takes on a whole new dynamic in the wet and compared to 2 months ago, one can't believe it is the same place. Nature certainly revives and transforms in miraculous ways. Our staff are passionate...

My family and I have stayed at Ivory Lodge several times and it doesn’t disappoint. We were last there in July 2015. Our room (#9) was comfortable and spacious and offered a great view of the watering hole. The food was great and the service top-notch (thanks Jamie, Joel and team!). The lodge has also recently expanded their common area...

We spent a night at the Hwange National Park , Ivory lodge. Upon arrival, we were brought to our units 1,2 and 4. Each unit could house three persons and we are rather amazed that such lodges have rather advanced facilities such as flushable toilet, hot water showers etc... As we are city dwellers, it takes a while to get...

Thank you for this review. It is so good to hear different opinions and insights when it comes to "a lodge in the bush!" We can only imagine what an experience it must be for city dwellers who do not experience daily what is very normal for Zimbabwean lodges. Insects are very much residents in any camp in Africa and...

“Overall, all chalets are really well positioned (views, spacious, peaceful, tastefully decorated -safari style, well serviced) . We loved our tree house in particular that afforded us direct sunset views. Was spectacular to do so whilst having a bath on the one hand and then walking out to the balcony to watch hordes of elephants indulge themselves by the waterhole and impalas come for a late drink at night....Priceless ”
