Room was dirty cobwebs in the bathroom. Faint smell of urine. Aircon not working properly. After reports to reception aircon is the same. This is one step above backpackers. Tv is unclear Cleanliness is their biggest downdfall. On the positive staff in the dining and reception are friendly. Wifi is free. The pool is large. Breakfast is hearty. Not recommended...

Arrived late at the kariba border post. 19h55. Gates closed at 20hoo. Only arrived at curry dark after 21h30 with no reservation. They were able to accommodate us for the one night and prepared a late dinner for us. This was despite the kitchen closing. The rooms are basic and in need of upgrading, however they are clean and have...

Despite good service and attentive staff, product is now tired and definitely needs revamping. Maintenance and painting of outside furniture could be witnessed. This is still a popular site as it was fully booked. There is still more to look forward to with prospects of a casino facility opening soon. Curio shop, bar and tennis court are added features.

I was there in 1975. It was good then. The staff friendly, the food was good, the rooms were clean and well looked after. I had a mosquito net and the staff sprayed the room each evening. There were two little dogs there so played together. And I had a long chat with the owners. I suspect it's all gone...

We had the pleasure of meeting the management of this incredibly well preserved hotel which has endured the lack of tourists against all odds, and who went out of their way to give us the best that this Kariba hotel can offer. Brendan and I wish you a great reward for all the enormous effort you put into this wonderful...

Went for dinner on the 11 of June at Cutty Sark, we ordered meals and the food was cold and the taste was horrible. Upon telling the Food and Beverage Manager that the food had been terrible she was busy talking to her colleagues and did not give us any attention. We had paid over $50 for the food and...

Though its a very hot area the rooms and conference room are well air conditioned. The view is just awesome, overlooking the giant lake, seeing vast waters everywhere, meeting wild animals like Zebras, elephants, hippos, kudu, monkeys ooohhh a lot. You appreciate nature. The pool and grounds are well maintained so bring swim...

The staff were very friendly and made all other negatives you would want to complain about seem insignificant. Steve was particularly very helpful and sweet... so was another lady who waited on us ... forgot her name :( and the security man with his hilarious salutes were heart melting. However, the telephone was not working (despite notifying the receptionist who...

We visited this hotel for lunch - we were actually staying at the Caribbea Bay down the road (which was expensive and a bit tired). I wanted to call in as I remember staying here over 20 years ago. I was really impressed by the view and grounds - much better kept than the Caribbea Bay. We sat on the...

The Cutty Sark has a lot of potential. The room was decent enough for 3 star. the grounds were well kept and the pool as well as view was great. the staff need to put in a bit more effort, as a paying guest I expect to be treated with respect instead of as a person who is wasting their...
