I'm a Lake George fan but now know I can get similar views and serenity at a much closer distance. This place rocks. Cozy and charming lounge and huge main dining room with large windows gives diners a comforting and peaceful view of Greenwood Lake waters. The location is superb. Service was great and the menu options enticing. Had the...

September 28th was our second visit. Both times we ate on the patio but did not stay at the hotel. We arrived by boat, docks are nice and new. The view from the patio is breathtaking. The staff is super friendly. Live music was pretty good. Food is good (not great). Would go back again & again.

The "New" Continental Hotel on Greenwood Lake is actually an old time lakeside hotel in the European style. Think of 'Fawlty Towers' with polite staff and ownership and you're getting the idea. We checked in for the weekend after Labor Day and we had the run of the house to ourselves. The hotel was built in the 1920's and had...

Perfect little get away from the city! It sits on the best part of the lake which is the middle which means that you can swim right off their docks because it's deep and you do not feel any weeds like in shallower areas of the lake. They have a restaurant on the waters edge that looks smack down onto...

Good stuff: It's by the water and the renovation work is quite impressive. That's why I gave it the one star Yuk: The dining experience. We went because we saw a rather impressive menu online. But when we got there, it was a totally different menu, not offering half of what we saw online. Wait staff was very inexperienced. Beer...

This will be our first and last visit here. We came here for dinner with a party of nine. We made a reservation, but were advised that another party of twenty would be seating at the same time. They assured us this would not be a problem. Our group had a nice table outside, and the new dock where we...

Well, let's be positive. • The staff is very nice. • The view of the lake is nice and they have lakeside dining. If you want to eat vegan, you will be eating salads, though. • There is a bar downstairs. • The morning coffee is good. The New Continental Inn is a historic property right on Greenwood Lake. I...

I read the wonderful reviews so figured give it a try. Called to find out what time dinner was served and the pleasant woman said "we're serving so come on up" - never asked if I wanted to make a reservation. After a 45 minute drive, we were warmly greeted by the hostess staff and while being seated a rude...

If you do not want something fancy, then this is the place. Food not bad, great location over the lake. Rooms are very small and not updated. Couldn't get the internet to work. Restaurant not open on Mondays, so needed to go out for breakfast. Everyone is very pleasant.

My husband, 2 month old son and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We showed up without a reservation but they were able to squeeze us in. Rooms were simple, the dinner was delicious and you can swim right off the dock. We will definitely be coming back on our next visit...
