My wife and I first learned about the Trout House Resort several years ago when our children pitched in and gave us a long weekend in "the eagle's nest,"one of the best log cabins on the property. We had such a great time that we have returned every winter. This place sits on the western shore of Lake George, about...

I just returned from my third stay at Trout House Village, and it never disappoints. My sister and I stayed in the Mohican cabin for the second year in a row. Last year, we noted that it must have been just remodeled because it looked (and smelled) immaculately new. If this had been my first visit to that cabin, I...

My husband and I stayed at the Trouthouse at the end of March. This beautiful place lacked nothing. First of all, the owners and staff were so accommodating, so friendly, and provide the best possible accommodations one could ever ask for. The cabin we stayed in had everything - full kitchen, livingroom, fireplace, wi-fi, TV, plenty of firewood, and not...

Quite with a stunning lake view. Offseaon they allow dogs. Clean, cute cabin with plenty of room. All modern comforts, gas fireplaces, dishwasher, flat screen tvs. 2 bedrooms and a pullout couch. 2 and a half bathrooms. 2nd floor deck and first floor enclosed porch. Awesome place, highly recommended.

Great room, view, and atmosphere with very friendly, helpful staff. Perfect spot to get away from city life and just relax in the quiet. During off season there isn't much to do but that works if you just want to relax

stayed at Trout House for a night while passing through Lake George right before Christmas. It was freezing, but the cabin we stayed in was so warm and cozy, fire ready to light. The Innkeepers have done everything right: the linens on the beds, pillows, furniture, beautiful spacious bathroom, comfortable cozy living room and kitchen furnished with just what you...

This is our 4th, perhaps 5th, time back at Trout House and each time we visit has us appreciating it more each time. Want a relaxing way to spend some time? This is it. The place is impeccably clean/immaculate, the hosts are very friendly and accommodating, and the environment and surrounding area are exquisite. Highly recommended.

We booked the resort on the web, mainly because of the beautiful photos. We were not disappointed. The people on the phone when I called were very accommodating and cordial. The resort was easy to find. We received plenty of information upon check in, for the area, the hikes, restaurants, etc. The weather was cloudy and rainy during the three...
