Stayed here for one night to go to a concert across the river in Poughkeepsie. It wasn't easy to get into the town or find a reasonably priced taxi and the hotel manager was extremely helpful. She called a few taxi services for me to find the best one, then made sure they were on their way. The next day... More

Old hotel, need much TLC. Nice staff but not very attentive. Noisy. 4 AM some truck noise outside. Phone didn't work. Funky space. 3 pillows on a bed for 2? Whats that all about. Crappy nights sleep. Had no choice but to stay, last place available in town. Sorry, but it needs improvements.

This place has roaches!! I didn't even bother telling the manager/owner because I overheard another guest informing her about spiders in his room. She vehemently defended their cleaning techniques. Also, check-in time is 2:00, but my room wasn't ready till after 4:00. This did not give me time to go elsewhere if I was dissatisfied with the room. By the... More

We stayed at the Atlas on the way home from Lake George. We wanted to visit the Vanderbilt Mansion and FDR home in Hyde Park. The Atlas is very close to both of these attractions. We were made very welcome at check in. Our room was clean and came with hairdryer, coffee maker, fridge, microwave and work desk. If you... More

Decor and design is throwback 1970s. Rooms were clean, decor hasn't been updated in decades but is well-maintained. Only door locks available were the push-button knob lock; door didn't even have an interior security latch. Room 19 also has a weird interior door that leads to somewhere like an office. That door also only had a knob push-button lock. Innkeeper... More

Although the people were nice, this is not a motel I would ever recommend. It was not clean and many of the rooms looked like they were long-term rentals. We were forced to book here as there were many events taking place nearby, but never again.

Please don't go here! If I wasn't prepaid or wouldn't have been charged a cancellation fee I would have run like hell. I hated it from the minute I walk in the shabby dirty lobby. The woman behind the glass window was very nice told us our room wasn't ready yet but she had a nicer room in the front... More

This is basic, clean and friendly in a great location. Of the places we have stayed over the years, we felt it was the best value. Our room included a refrigerator and balcony. It was easy to find and the manager Arti was helpful and kind. Overall, we had a comfortable stay. Have breakfast at the Bagel Bites down the... More

On Rte 9W located near the walking bridge across the Hudson, this is an ok place to overnight. I had a prepaid reservation but the clerk wanted me to pay. After this was settled, I was handed my room key which was an old fashioned key. The keyed door knob is the only lock. The motel is dated but has... More
