We winter in Gambia often and had alway heard the hype about Ngala lodge and looked at the pictures on the web, so went for a visit and dinner to see whether we should stay there next time. First it's Not a lodge it's an old colonial style house. The grounds are tiny and very very steep the " art....

With regard to your review, which we find extremely disappointing. We do not understand how you can make judgement on the hotel based on your one visit to the restaurant, and did not give us the opportunity to show you the rooms. We receive many excellent reviews from our hotel guests, who return to enjoy our facilities year after year....

The Ngala Lodge is in a quiet, peaceful area near the small town of Bakau, and the larger town of Serekunda. The area is very distinct from the more prominent (and less tranquil) Senegambia resort strip a few miles away. We stayed for a week in one of the newer Macondo suites at Ngala overlooking the ocean. We loved the...

Ngala Lodge Gambia is a beautiful secluded boutique hotel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Ngala is situated in Fajara, along Atlantic road where you will also find prestigious homes. The small village of Bakau is within walking distance. A taxi ride away, is the very busy and touristy 'strip' that The Gambia receives negative and positive comments due to the 'activities'...

Ngala lodge Gambia is a beautiful hotel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It has fantastic views all around and its landscape is breath-taking. It has a lovely intimate setting amongst tropical and lush grounds. The restaurant is amongst the best of the places we had eaten, breakfast, lunch and dinner are all exquisite, looks good and really taste good, although a...

Having already stayed 3 nights at the magnificent Mandina Lodge in the Makasutu Forest, we then went on to stay a further 7 nights in The Gambia at Ngala Lodge. It was beautiful. The grounds are manicured to within an inch of their life. The views over the Atlantic Ocean are magnificent. The staff are fantastic. Malik, definitely deserves a...

A delightful and unique boutique hotel notable for the quality of service provided by the attentive and well-trained staff. The hotel stands in quiet, attractive and secluded grounds overlooking the Atlantic. Two pools and a private decking area on the beach, a number of covered areas providing shade and easy access to facilities make this an ideal choice for us....

Ngala lodge has a beautiful spot overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Lovely intimate setting amongst tropical and lush grounds. The restaurant is amongst the best of the places we had dinner although quite pricey, would recommend b& b as many other excellent restaurants to sample. We stayed in room 3 which had a great view , perhaps not quite 5 star...

We spent 11 days at Ngala on a recommendation and were not disappointed. The grounds are extremely attractive and there are plenty of places to enjoy the sun or seek shade if you wish it. The infinity pool is a little cold but bracing once you are in. Likewise the room plunge pool in the Macondo suite was too cold...

A great place to get away and enjoy unlimited peace and quiet. Set in its own exquisite grounds on a small cliff overlooking the ocean.
