We stayed at Bykenhulle House after a day of exploring the Hudson River Valley, Hyde Park in particular. Just a half hour from FDR's home, a Vanderbilt mansion, and the Culinary Institute of America. There was ample, safe parking. Instructions on the door told us to walk in and make ourselves at home. Inside, an envelope with instructions and a...

I can't say enough about the Bykenhulle house. My brother and I were hosting a 50th anniversary party weekend for our parents and growing up in the area, wanted somewhere local. Since we were having a luncheon in August, we wanted a venue with indoor space in case it was warm but also a place with outdoor space so that...

I can not praise Bykenhulle House enough. We rented out the whole inn for the weekend and had a wedding there. Everything was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Maria was attentive to all our needs that sprang up and we enjoyed talking with her at breakfast time. Jackie was extremely helpful with all the dynamics related to the wedding. She orchestrated the wedding...

I really hoped that this would be a great stay at Bykenhulle. The house was lovely, but a little shabby. The worst part was no one greets you when you arrive. Instead, they left an envelope for you to find you way to your room on your own, which was on the 3rd floor and the stairs were quite steep....

We are sorry to hear that our customer service was less than exceptional during your stay. The innkeeper Bill was on the property and did not hear the doorbell. As the property is large, this does happen at times and we have the envelopes out for the convenience of our guests to settle into their rooms. Based on your comment,...

We stayed one night at the Bykenhulle House, the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, with 3 other couples. Jen was very friendly and helpful when making reservations. We spent the day cycling along the Duchess Rail Trail. When we arrived at Bykenhulle House no one was there, however, there were envelopes with our names on them containing a welcome letter...

Tucked away, but accessible to Hyde Park. This B&B is tastefully decorated and very well kept. The breakfasts are simply wonderful and the bucolic grounds are well maintained. The owner is very interesting and a great host.

We stayed at this B&B during a recent visit to the FDR museum and library in Hyde Park, NY, which is an incredible treasure of history. The Bykenhulle House was a great find. The grounds are well kept, the bedrooms spotlessly clean and comfortable. The inn's location, about 14 miles from Hyde Park, was in a quiet spot away from...

visited with friends on a New England tour and by happen chance decided on the Bykenhulle House. A delightful located house in its own well tended grounds and gardens. Good size rooms with good amenities. Very comfy beds. Wifi a tad temperamental but it worked. Warm welcome from Bill the owner. Good home cooked breakfast. Well located for trips to...

My husband I had a pleasant two night stay at this b&b. The owner was very charming with lots of interesting stories to tell. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. My only suggestion is to serve breakfast earlier. If you are a tourist you want to make most of of your time so a 9 a.m. breakfast...
