I'm afraid my review of this lodge is coloured by the fact that I had a terrible night's sleep. The rooms have no aircon, the fan is inadequate, the duvets are so thick you'd think you were in the Arctic, there was no separate sheet and the feeble mosquito net did nothing to stop me getting badly bitten by flies.Plus there was...

Second visit and feel even more depressed on leaving. The Rostock ticks all the boxes and the vibe is fantastic. The staff are attentive, the food is awesome and the setting, world class. Lots of game due to the recent rains. Keep it up.

With stone yurts clinging to the hillside, the lodge complex looks like it may be part of a Star Wars movie set. Rooms are compact, but adequate--each with a small private patio-zebra and oryx wander by occasionally . No phone or minibar in room. No A/C but high-powered ceiling fan did the trick. There is no wi-fi in the rooms,...

Stopped here for a night because our little 2 wheel drive car needed a rest on those desert roads! It was my favorite place we stayed in Namibia, hands down! The rooms are great, with beautiful views and private balconies. The pool has been called the "best in Namibia, and I agree 100%! The food was great, we had the...

Rostock Ritz commands an expansive view of a wonderful plain, and the walks nearby take you to a fascinating rock-scape with sparse vegetation. We were disappointed though in the rooms, which were curious, to say the least. the pool looked inviting, but we didn't try it!

We needed a overnight place to stay and this place was available. Once we got there...we found out why it was available. The camping facilities are terrible...old, dated, seen better days...obviously nature has taken her toll. The scenery is fantastic though....like sitting on Mars...having a beer. If they upgrade the camping area....this place would be amazing.

We used this as a half way stopover between Seiseim and Swakopmund but I wish we'd booked for two nights. No the rooms are not large but they are more than adequate for a night or two. The food served for dinner was very good, breakfast was good enough. There a very nice little pool offering great views and comfortable...

After many nights camping, we decided to spoil ourselves for two nights in this place and it fulfilled all our visions. Even though the pool is not big, it has a wonderful view with lovely swinging beach chairs around. The rooms and especially the beds were perfectly comfortable. There is not much to do around apart from sunbathing and relaxing,...

Between Sesriem and Walvis. After Solitaire on the C14.On the Capricorn tropic. A very original lodge built in the 60thies when there was nothing around. By Kocky, a very well known figure in Namibia. Someone with a vision! The lodge and bungalows were built in ferrocement, like boats in Australia. So they are rounded like igloos. A very funny style!...
