We just loved this place for all its rather conventional feel. Coming from Swakopmund by car in early April 2017, we were not expecting much, and the website is rather understated. The hotel is really in the middle of nowhere, the back of it appearing like a rather clumsy mirage rising out of the sea as you approach travelling west...

We camped at Cape Cross for 3 days. The camp site is clean, fantastic ablution facilities, frienly staff, very affordable prices, the food at the restaurant is outstanding, the sunsets are breathtaking. What a treat!!

Stayed here for a night. Room rate included a set menu which was fair, but not awesome by international standards. Service was good & humbling to interact with the staff who show their appreciation for tourism in their area with constant happy demeanours. Rooms are spacious, clean & have great balconies looking directly onto the beach. Were treated with 4#...

The hotel is gorgeous. Rooms with private decks look out on the beach steps away. The main lodge has a cozy fireplace and big comfortable couches. The food is good, not great and restaurant service needs some work. But I would definitely go back for the rooms.

We spend 1 night at Cape Cross Lodge, which is basically the only option on this part of the road. The Lodge is in a great location directly on the endless beach.... too cold to swim though. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintained and all have a balcony with sea view. Restaurant serves good food, as there would...

We went "off-piste" and booked ourselves into the Lodge to be able to easily see both the seal colony and actually have a night at the beach. Everyone was very friendly and although we were given what seemed a small room, we did have a balcony on which to sit and stare at the ocean. The rooms are fairly basic but...

Around the corner of one of the biggest seal-colony you can imagine. Small but very nice museum within the hotel to learn about the history of this site. Very friendly staff and very clean and comfortable rooms with balcony. Nice to take your time and have a long walk on the beach and visit the seals. Very good quality/pricing.

Every room has a wonderful balcony overlooking the ocean. Rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Staff allowed us to choose anything from the menu for dinner, even after arriving late and dinning room was closed. They really went out of their way to make us comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Our company decided to have a management weekend away, camping at Cape Cross Lodge. The camping facilities are great. Each campsite is walled off, and has a basin undercover with an electrical outlet supplying 220v when the generator runs for about 10 hrs a day. The ablutions are very clean, neat and all showers operate effectively with boiling hot water....

There's not much choice around this area, but considering, we were satisfied with the room and the beach balcony view. Room equipped with usuals and spacious enough. Wifi was weak but seemed to work better in the lounge area. Dinner was included with the room fee and I felt it could have been a lot better. It didn't taste that...
