We discovered unfortunately that North Luangua does not allow self drives... We had booked camp sites at the "entrance" and "exit" of the park (arriving via Mpika). We changed our plans last minute and booked two night self catering at Buffalo. We have no regrets!

I could have watched the beautiful view from this camp all day. Buffalo Camp is set in a wild, remote area of North Luangwa where the only other people to encounter are those staying in the camp. Mark Harvey was a great host, entertaining us...More

Best time of year for a visit is September/October although the camp is open from June till November and there is plenty to see all season. Optimum length of stay would be 4 nights which give you 3 full days there. Hope this... More
