Rooms are basic -you get what you pay for, but I was not lucky enough to get hot water in the shower around 6 p.m. in the afternoon. After 30 minutes of trying, came down to the front desk and the girl said "I had to open the faucett for 10 or 15 minutes, so I could get hot water...

The location is perfect. Pedestrian only street right near the two main plazas. Lovely colonial style building and courtyard. Room -small but clean, no window. Bathroom small but clean and plenty of hot water. People at the front desk were very nice. The only downside was that the pillows were uncomfortable causing us to lose some sleep. For the price...

Hotel Hidalgo, was the first hotel in Queretaro. Built in 1825, this is traditional luxury with rooms around the columned colonial patio with fountain. The hotel was the center for upper class life in the 19th century and has been nicely updated. The eccentric General Santa Ana stayed here in 1844, after putting on a lavish funeral for the burial...

We booked into this hotel 6th January to 22nd January. We loved it so much we are still here until the 2nd Feb. The hotel is 200 years old and we love it. Our room is no 43 tucked away off the main patio. It was spotlessly clean and quite large. It has a small window that opens onto a...

We stayed here for 3 nights at New Years 2017. The room was on the second floor overlooking the courtyard/restaurant. The place is over 200 years old and claims to be a place where Santa Ana stayed in early 1800's. The room was small but functional. The bathroom was also very small. There was noise but that's what earplugs are...

Arrived about 2 pm on Saturday afternoon, there was a small band playing for the lunch crowd in the courtyard....very nice. Check in easy. Girls at desk were helpful and friendly..... At little English. Room was fine with a double and twin bed and like 20 ceilings. Bathroom small but adequate. Price great! Loved the colonial feel of the hotel....

This is an older colonial hotel, dating from the early 1800s. I loved it and was utterly charmed. One is within easy walking distance of the Jardin Zenea and all the fun activities going on in the Centro, as well as the Ole Institute where I was studying Spanish. The receptionist here was warm, social & welcoming. I liked going...

For our two day visit to Queretaro, we chose the Hidalgo Hotel! First, the location is great. It's located in the heart of the old city just a short walk to all of the shops and attractions downtown. The hotel itself is an old colonial building restored to its former glory. Guest rooms surround the central courtyard complete with fountain...

The Hidalgo, having stood for almost 200 years, is the oldest hotel in Querétaro. It features a charming interior patio, good restaurant and pleasant rooms at a very reasonable price. I would recommend, however, that you spend just a little more (about $7.50 at today's exchange rate) to reserve a room with a king or two double beds. These rooms...

I really love staying in colonial style hotels in Mexico; therefore, I chose this one. I am so glad that I did. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Queretaro. Beautiful courtyard, great breakfast and coffee, and wonderful staff all made my stay here unforgettable. Just walk out of the entrance,...
