Do not let other reviews drive you away!!! Yes there is some construction, showing that the owner is taking care of the place. Check in was great and the clerk was very helpful. Got to the room and it was exactly as pictured. The bed was a nice firm platform to sleep. The room was clean. Bathroom was great, could... More

In metropolitan NYC, it is difficult to find affordable hotels on relatively short notice. For the money spent, one cannot beat the Meadowbrook Motor Lodge. Since Hurricane Sandy came through several years ago, the owners have been spending money on improvements. While no one is going to confuse the Meadowbrook Motor Lodge with the Hilton family of hotels, the staff... More

Spent 3 nights with my husband & 3 years old son. I booked a double bed & in the last minute I called to cancel to a single instead. It was unable to change because all rooms were fully booked...they gave me a discount. Great customer service. Peaceful & quiet place. Room had fridge, microwave & WiFi & a telephone.... More

When the parking area looks like a contractors yard, with bigger potholes than the Belt Parkway and the attendant behind the bullet proof glass gives you the ghetto attitude. You would think RUN ,gave them the benefit of doubt and gave card, had to ask for another key, went to room and phone rings its the gansta wanna be telling me only two people... Best price i could find on short notice somewhat near JFK (20-30 min). I passed it twice partly because there is some kind of construction fence on main road and the entrance is almost hidden. Oddly i passed the rear entrance twice also but no signs. Doesn't look impressive from outside. Room was fairly basic but has fridge and microwave.... More

A bit shady area, I guess the proximity to the highways. The bullet proof glass in the check in area and guard dog add to that feel. The room was clean, the price was right, it was near where we needed to be. So there ya go.

I was nervous about staying at a "no name brand" hotel but it was nice. Clean rooms, nice quiet area and friendly staff. I would always ask to stay in the tower if I ever stay here again. I have no reason no to. There is a great deli just minutes away if you want to take a walk. It... More

Yes, the location was good for my purposes. Yes, I didn't see any bugs ( hopefully none came home with me.) No--didn't feel at all safe. Bare bones accommodations for a really sub-standard hotel. Wi- fi worked. No breakfast place nearby. Couldn't wait to leave.

After reading the reviews I called and spoke to Alexandria she is AWESOME! Booked the room and per 1 review asked for the tower. 3rd floor. The room to my delight is clean and updated. Per other reviews no bugs! Again clean and updated. If you expect the Ritz and the price than stay at the Ritz! Again here for... More

I trusted the TripAdvisor reviews and booked this motel for two nights. Yuch! The pictures may look good, but this is an old style motor lodge (should have known from the name...). I was in the "new" building (two stories), which was being painted inside while I was there. The "non-smoking" room had cigarette burns in the bedspread (very loose... More
