The hotel is located close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Porte du Non-retour which marks the final leg of the slave route. There are rooms for your budget - I think that's all I can say about that - and they are quite cheap. A lot is being done in terms of construction work presently, especially around the pool...

This hotel has a great location and a fabulous pool. After the renovation it should be outstanding. But please fix the toilet for your female guests. The rooms are quite far from the restaurant so it is a long walk to use a toilet with a seat. The food could be so good as the menu is outstanding. We had...

This hotel set on the beach just up the road from the Door of No Return, the end of the slave route, 4 km from Ouidah townsite. It's a very nice place to have a hotel. We attempted to stay here but they were booked up for a conference. The reception staff did absolutely nothing to help us find accommodation...

I came to the restaurant at Diaspora with a colleague for lunch. We sat outside under the coconut trees and really enjoyed the view and breeze. However, the lunch took much longer than we expected despite being told that our orders would come out very quick. We were curious about the Mexican Chicken Salad and got that and the shrimp...

I took a room with AC - I think there's a big difference in quality. Pros: - on the beach - AC room was large, very clean - AC worked well - staff friendly and helpful - nice pool area, great restaurant - good breakfast spread Cons: - no hot water - wifi does not work. They tell you it...

First and foremost, the place is from the main road, the front desk people do not speak English, the room is rather basic, no water heater, old bedsheets, and the pillows are horrible. The continental dishes are horrible, don't try it, the WiFi doesn't work well. But the pool area is really nice, rooms are neat, close to the beach...

This hotel is okay. The rooms are rather basic: No hot water but electricity. There's a little porch with table and two chairs in the beach-side bungalows. The restaurant area surrounds a large pool and smaller kids pool. The large pool is long enough for laps and deep enough for diving. Unfortunately, it's filled with salt water, which means that...

The rooms are confortable but they are too close to the main road and too distant from the beach. They also have a second building with plenty of rooms on the opposite side of the road but it lacks character and it is too far from the restaurant and the beach. The swimming pool is well kept but the overall...

Benin Diaspora Auberge (Le Jardin Bresilien Auberges de la Diaspora) is located by the ocean, about 2-3km from Ouidah centre. We stayed for 1 night. As overlanders we didn't want to sleep in our roof-tents because of all the humidity, so we decided to try out one of their bungalows. Restaurant's menu had even pizza in the menu, although for...

We stopped off at the Diaspora Auberge for lunch on our way into Ouidah. Located on the beach just off the slave road it has small houses for accommodation (didn;t check these out but they looked OK) with a restaurant/bar located around a large swimming pool. The surrounding palm trees give it an exotic feel. We all ordered the barracuda...
