This is a out door camp site, you can drive your car into. Have wide parking lot or you can park in your tent side. Location is not far from downtown area of Lake George, a small beach (private) at the lake side. Price is low, but good enough for a relax weekend. The public shower place and bathroom are...

First off, I saw a lot of negative reviews about the staff at this campground, however everybody that I dealt with was very nice and accommodating. A truck came around a few times a day to sell firewood which was very convenient. We had no issues with noise complaints, and we had music on until midnight. The site itself was...

Good campground for those who enjoy the basics ( no electric hookups ) and not a Resort. Built on the slopes of the surrounding hills and not too many really flat areas, but, a nice safe campground as the Park Rangers due a steady patrol to ensure camper safety and are available for assistance. There is a good quality sandy...

The campground was old and beautiful. I loved the tall trees and fresh air. The first couple of nights we stayed close to the road. It was very busy and kept me up all night. We then switched over to 143 in the back and it was amazing. So quiet and big. The restrooms weren't that far and yes they...

We stayed here for 4 nights. All in all not a bad campground. Friendly staff that we encountered. There is a wood/ice truck that drives around the campground numerous times a day. Fair prices. The site we stayed at was large and pretty secluded. They do seem to enforce quiet time, which is always a plus. The fire pits at...

We camped 4 nights at Hearthstone Point, and loved it. Although this campground is very basic, it was clean, peaceful and ideally located. Check in was easy and quick and the staff was helpful. :0) The campground HAS... --> water spouts throughout --> several bathrooms throughout --> hot showers that don't require quarters --> nice little beach area --> fishing...

Absolute dump!!! Not a place for a family. No flat sites, bathrooms disgusting, no level ground for kids to ride their bikes, firepits in shambles. Stay away. Lake George is beautiful but this place is not.

We stayed here for the first time over Memorial Weekend. The registration was all on line and I was able to pick our site. I knew that Rt. 9 cut through the campground, but I didn't realize how separated the two sides really were. Rt. 9 is a busy street and it made for walking across a little challenging, even...

I have seen a review where the person was constantly harassed by the staff. In my experience, the only interaction I had was the one I initiated when checking in and when I inquired where to drop the garbage. The bathrooms and showers are kept clean, regardless of the fact that some female campers feel shower is a perfect place...

I have been going nearly every year at Hearthstone Point since the late 90's. Each year, it's been a learning experience. I found one of the best sites there. Key is to be isolated away from the road & bathrooms so it's quiet and dark at night. Occasionally, you have your loud party crowd. However, if a group is loud...
