We recently changed our booking at Drotsky's camping area due to the disappointment that the sites were not on the river bank. All sites are in the bush with lovely shade but situated on a side stream of the river. Unfortunately one can not see or hear the water as it is overgrown with reeds and vegetation. We are bird...

What a pleasure to leave the dry sandy roads of NW Botswana and arrive at Drotsky's with its green lawns, tall indigenous trees, sparkling pool and fast flowing Okavango river. The lodge has seen reincarnation from its origins of A frame cabins which, although they remain, are used primarily to accommodate fishing parties. Our air conditioned timber cabin on stilts...

4 nights spend camp site Nr 5 Fantastic birdwatching destination. Wonderful campsites, well maintained, good ablutions, electricity, lights and water for each campsite. 17 sites, and they are all good, some bigger than others. Site 5 fantastic. Only problem is some aggressive monkeys that steal your food. Boating trips a highlight, mostly for birdwatching but also saw some elephant. Saw...

Wonderful lodging facility. I stayed there in one of the cabins for one night during a work trip. The restaurant staff were very tactful and helpful and I had a great oxtail there. The reception staff were exceptional and were very accommodating of short notice requests particularly "Bel" at the front desk! The interior was most impressive and i particularly...

My husband and I travelled from Somerset West, through Namibia, up to the Caprivi and to the Mohembo border, and specially went into Botswana for 2 days to camp at Drotsky's. It was worth every minute of travelling to arrive at this piece of paradise. We were only sorry that we didn't stay longer. From the minute we arrived in...

We recently stayed at Drotsky's for 2 nights on a 16 day Cape to Kalahari ride with RideDownSouth motorcycle tours. The campsite we had was great, right near the water, so we could hear the hippos grazing in the nearby reedbeds throughout the night. The monkeys are not afraid of humans, so you really need to keep all foodstuffs secured...

We stayed one night on our way down to Maun. The accommodation was more expensive than most places on our 4 week road trip but we were more than happy with it - large, comfortable, well furnished cabins with a large balcony overlooking the lovely gardens. Nice pool. Dinner was OK but wasn't included in the tariff and was expensive...

A fellow traveller recommended this place and we were grateful for the advice until we drove down the track to the hotel buildings. It was a potential disaster waiting to happen. At the time we visited the sand road was deeply rutted and this caused a problem with our vehicle which required a professional repair.. Considering the fact that Drotsky's...

After a long day travelling we were greeted and entertained by lots of Vervet monkeys. Room for 2 nights was comfortable, with balcony overlooking the Okavango. Home-style buffet food was edible. River was too high for tiger fishing but we enjoyed the sunset cruise with Bob the barman and boatman. He entertained with stories and whistled the fish eagles so...

We were very disappointed about our stay in Drotsky's cabins. It was the most expensive accommodation on our whole 3-weeks trip and we did not get the value for money which we expected. First of all, the only view out of the cabins is a huge lawn. The view to the river became overgrown. Secondly, the wooden roof of the...
