We stayed for two nights in the resort and it was really nice. It is located right on the beach of lake turkana, so you could wake up with a nice swim (and jump in to cool down a couple of times per day because it was really hot out there). We slept in a manyatta, which was basic and...

Dear Lisa, Thank you very much for your positive review. We were grateful to host you and that you enjoyed your stay despite the hungry mosquitoes....... Concerning the mosquito nets, we will check on them and assure that all are fitting the beds. By the way we are also surprised to have soo many mosquitoes during this dry period. So...

This place, run by a friendly European, is difficult to describe, it is fascinating and unusual. One of the best places in Kenya. The flight to Lodwar was relatively inexpensive, Lodwar is worth a look around before heading out to the Lake. The drive is an adventure in itself, dry dusty and sandy, passing many small villages (where the locals...

My two days spent at Elias Springs, was certainly the highlight of our adventure in the Turkana area. Comfortable, fantastic food, very friendly staff, cold beers, great conversations, special locally brewed liquors, boat rides on the lake, swimming one the shores of the lake at sunrise, lolling about in the natural waterhole pool surrounded by palms. I will be not...

After a long drive through the desert in a 4x4 from Lodwar airport, you arrive at the resort and for a second you think you are in Zanzibar. Peaceful beach, palm trees, cool water of the Turkana. I stayed for only a weekend, but wish I had more time. There are several options for accommodations (rooms, tents), but the best...

Dear Marlow, Thank you very much for your positive review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Rolf and his crew do a great job here in a beautiful location and really provide an amazing service to anyone interested in visiting Lake Turkana. Honestly, I don't think I could have visited without them, and I am glad I did. It's pretty impossible to try to organize any visit to the parks on your own. Let Eliye Springs...

Dear PJ, Happy New Year! It was nice hosting you and am glad that you enjoyed your visit to Lake Turkana. We are sorry about our prices, its actually the high costs of everything here in Lodwar. The trip to Sibiloi NP is less cheaper also when you have somebody to share with unlike when you were alone, and our...

Eliye Springs Resort is on a fantastic beach of fine white sand and jade coloured water - not the Indian Ocean, but Lake Turkana. It's water is so soft that swimming there is like a skin rejuvenation. The resort, managed by Swiss Rolf, is doing a great job pampering its guests. Winnie the guest relations manager organised a superb trip...

Having prepared myself mentally for the journey across the sun-scorched desert i packed my bag and set off to Lake Turkana. This is a journey that is not for the weaker souls. Having spent my previous night in Kitale brought me much closer to the beginning of the journey to the Jade sea. However, the reality didn't strike me until...

Fantastic beach and great spot to explore central island. We had a food time with the owner and other guests, survived a disco night and enjoyed the bandas. Accomodation is rustic but tasteful and the staff was very pleasant. People complaining on the lack of internet or cold beer should stay home between the couch and the fridge.

I booked our one week stay with my clients on a trip north for a photography trip and stayed at Eliye springs resort. Was simply amazed of how the resort managed a top notch international class in the middle of nowhere. So I will be the first to say I do not enjoy rustic which is why I bailed from staying in the Manyatta and took the dorm-ish like room unlike my colleague.
