We spent two nights to explore Ilha. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. We had two beautiful rooms, each decorated very nicely. Beds were very comfortable, rooms had all you need including slippers. We are at the restaurant all of our meals and were never disappointed. The views from the restaurant are stunning - sunset drinks a must. They helped us arrange a walking tour so we could learn more about the history of this magical village. We would recommend this hotel to all our friends.
We spend 2 nights at Feitoria to discover Ilha de Mocambique and we LOVED it. The island is magical and so much nicer and more authentic then Stone Town / Zanzibar. The hotel is located on the west coast of the island and offers good views of the sunsets. Everything is within walking distance. The central courtyard with the pool is a haven of tranquility and the rooms are comfortable (with aircon). We enjoyed their bar/restaurant and terrace for breakfast and dinners. There is no beach at the hotel really, but at high tide the ocean comes up all the way to the terrace. At low tide the water is a few 100 meters away, but it is nice to see the local women collect shells. We would definitely recommend Feitoria for a stay on Ilha de Mocambique.
I loved this place: everything you'd want in a boutique hotel. Beautiful property, friendly staff, nice, large, clean, comfortable rooms, good air conditioning, good WiFi. Such a good deal for the price. Nice restaurant on the waterfront. My one and only detraction is that the mattresses are foam, but I'm sure its quite an undertaking to get a hotel's worth of furniture to such a remote location! I had a great night sleep anyway. I wish I had stayed longer.
This is a small 20 room hotel set on the west shore of Ihla de Mozambique. Some rooms are in the old building at the street end of the hotel, the rest are set around the pool. The pool has plenty of sun-loungers and some shaded beds too. Beyond the pool on the old dock is a large shaded deck with seating overlooking the bay. Next to this are the restaurant and bar. Our room in the old building, 16, was large and had a door onto a terrace. The shower was hot and good; the bed was comfortable; the air con worked well. Two TVs but channels are very limited if you only speak English. The food in the restaurant was good and not expensive. Breakfasts included fruit, cereal, juice, eggs and coffee. The lunch and dinner menu had a lot of fish options plus local dishes, vegetarian options and steak. Every meal we had was excellent and the service at breakfast was impeccable. The management and staff are all friendly, helpful and nice to be with. Their service added significantly to us enjoying our stay. Highly recommended.…
Feitoria a mid range boutique hotel is one of the best hotel in the Island with perfect location, near most attractions. The room are clean with beautiful decorations, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, I would highly recommend for any traveler to the Mozambique Island.
I love this little boutique hotel. It is beautifully designed and in a great location, perfect for watching the sun setting over the bay. The rooms are luxuirious and the food is excellent with a nice Portugues and Mozambique influence. The lodge is also in a great spot for exploring all the culture and history that Ilha Mozambique has to offer.
Our 5 nights at the Feitoria were pretty ideal. We had a beautiful and comfortable room, service was friendly and attentive, and the drinks on the terrace facing the setting sun delicious, as were the sumptuous breakfasts. Highly recommended!
The best place in ilha Moçambique... well located in the old part of the town, walking distance to everywhere. Nice terrace, the best place to enjoy the sunset. All kind of support on tours, tourism information. The rooms nicely decorated.
Physically weakened and mentally demoralized from the poor conditions of our stay at a terrible place in Memba, we arrived at Feitoria expecting it to be dreadful as well, but we couldn’t have been more wrong! Feitoria, absolutely, definitely and completely excelled at–being one of Mozambique’s best in hospitality and tourism. Here are some specifics; -Comfortably situated with a magnificent panoramic view -Renovated and modernized with an incredible attention to detail, and without in any way compromising on functionality and practicality. -Uber-cute interior, refreshingly colorful and appealing. -They have an amazing team of individuals, modest, hard-working and kind-spirited. -The bed was very comfortable and the bedding soft and fine. -The bedding didn’t get made up but entirely refreshed every day. -The room got meticulously cleaned twice a day. -As my husband had mentioned that I was not feeling well they provided us with extra towels and amenities. I’m specifically stating this as it was a dedicated service gesture without us asking for any of it. -The room was well-equipped with practically everything one might need, such as a wardrobe, chairs, electronic safe, TV, air-conditioner, coffee table, mini-fridge, tea and coffee, and…a must for any woman…hairdryer! -The restaurant was truly amazing. We enjoyed the food so much that we didn’t feel the need to have meals at other places. We tried practically everything on their menu and to my husband’s amusement; I kept on complimenting the chef with every bite. I can go on and on, on and on, praising Feitoria for their high-standards and even higher devotion to service, but I would like to conclude my review by thanking the Feitoria team for pampering us back to life.…
We spent 3 nights in the hotel and really enjoyed it. It is decorated beautifully throughout and the restaurant has a good selection at great prices. We travelled with our 10 month old baby who was made very welcome. On request the hotel provided a very comfortable cot with mosquito net for her. We will definitely come back.
