I am currently staying at the High Peaks Resort, where I have stayed on numerous occasions for my December business weekend. Past trips have been enjoyable with a nice room and convenient parking, as well as a welcoming staff. This visit has been quite different. Upon check-in, I was told I was in another building around the corner from the... More

We stayed in The Waterfront location. It was a king suite on the first floor with a balcony that was directly over hanging Mirror Lake. Nicely appointed rooms. The view is worth a million dollars. Sit on the balcony in your robe and take in the view with your morning coffee. The ducks come right up to the balcony in... More

The High Peaks Hotel and restaurants are well above average. Romantic, cozy, warm are all the words I use to describe the High Peaks! Beautiful well appointed rooms, the rooms on Floors 3-5 have the most amazing sunrise views over the lake and mountains, gorgeous! I have stayed here 3 times and I will be back.

As soon as we walked into the main lobby, the room was filled with warmth and friendliness. The concierge was extraordinarily gracious, and everyone seemed happy to be there. Our waterfront suite was immaculate, modern and beautifully decorated. The bathroom being fully upgraded, with high-quality fixtures and designs. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable as well. However, the most imperative... More

We have stayed at High Peaks several times before but are usually across the street at the lake level rooms. This was our first experience at the actual hotel. Check in and lobby area are always excellent. The champagne welcome is a nice touch! The room was nice as well as clean and everything worked. Coffee maker wasn't a Keurig.... More

Ideal spot right on main street. The hotel rooms are large, newly renovated it seems. Comfortable beds. Very nice bathroom. Good covered parking. Good view of lake. The lobby is large and quite nice. Thought the gym was good with ample equipment and not crowded. Some negatives would be if you don't like to hear dogs barking in the rooms... More

Centrally located at one end of town and with three unique buildings to choose from, the High Peaks Resort was a terrific decision. We stayed lakeside, which probably would have been more fun in the summer, but the room was clean and quiet. The Dancing Bear bar was a lot of in the main lodge and the fireplace in the... More

Dear Michael, Thank you for sharing your experience! We are so pleased you chose to stay with us. While the Waterfront Collection are wonderful in the summer, we love the winter experience! When the lake has frozen, Lake Placid clears a path around the edge of the lake for ice activities and we have Norwegian kickskeds at the waterfront dock!... More

The High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid , New York is actually two hotels across the street from each other. All rooms afford one excellent views of Mirror Lake and several of the high peaks. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. They offer a continental breakfast or full American style breakfast at The Dancing Bears restaurant.

Great getaway place to stay. Clean friendly quiet. Nice place to just get away and relax in the Adirondacks, and nice shopping within walking distance. The resturant was beautiful, service was top notch and the food was excellent.
