Very friendly owners. Had an issue with hot water upon arrival so no hot shower till much later. Older hotel that is in need of some updating, old carpets, peeling wallpaper. Room was clean, bed was pretty hard. No blow dryers in room or ice machine. The hot tub is very nice. Location is good. Luckily I got a great...

If you want to step back in time at a delightfully appointed and rustic inn this is the place. Nearly 100 year old inn located within walking distance of Mirror Lake in Lake Placid. If not on the list of historic buildings, it should be. It's like lodging in the heyday of the 20's and 30s in the Adirondack Mountains....

Just a bit out of town but on the secondary main drag in Lake Placid is the Pines Inn. It is a place of another time but is very well maintained with eager accommodating and friendly staff. The rooms are large as are the bathrooms and everything is immaculate. An big enhancement would be to include a mini fridge in...

My husband just whisked me away on a surprise trip to Lake Placid for my bday. He did the hotel bookings and we stayed here for one night. Based on the other reviews, it wasn't the cheapest of hotels but it was certainly good for what we needed. It was a clean building, close walking distance to the downtown main...

Thanks for the review - and by the way ... this is what a review should be ... an honest statement of facts and not a way to get back at the hotel for something :-) I am glad that you did enjoy your birthday get away and Lake Placid is a great place to be! Two quick things -...

Tons of charm, prime location, incredibly comfortable beds, very friendly staff. Stayed here for 1 night after 3 nights of camping so, needless to say, we appreciated the king-size pedic mattresses. It really looks and feels like an old lodge; a night here was a great end to a great Adirondack vacation.

I stayed here for two nights earlier this week. Upon arrival there was no one at the desk, but they clearly state this on their website, so I expected that could be the case. The woman returned within five minutes of my arrival. I checked in easily and went to my room. There is no elevator for guests, but I...

Stayed 3 nights with my son for lacrosse tournament. Hotel is very dated, but the beds were good and everything was very clean. The family/owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. The location is great, very short walk to main st. We ate in the restaurant the first night-service was good, the food was average.

We were here for the IronMan last weekend - possibly the busiest 4 days in LP each year. Not only did Jill, Alex and all staff work hard during our stay (the Inn was completely full) - everyone took their time to make sure we had everything we needed, asked about how we were doing and were wonderfully friendly. We...

We were lucky in that we were there between two major events in town so the Inn was almost empty. Jill and Alex were very friendly and helpful. Jill put out coffee earlier than usual when she learned that we got up early, much appreciated! The room was comfortable and the window a/c unit kept it cool. We were on...
