Wanted to see Fall colors, came to Beaverkill Inn, and not only got to see a show of colorful leaves, but the historic Inn was full of history, a running stream out front for fishing or just viewing, beautiful trails to hike, and possibly the best dinner we've ever had. It was small, intimate, quiet, beautiful and peaceful with an... More

I didn't stay at the hotel but did go to a wedding reception there. The food and service was excellent.. The staff was very helpful(I have mobility issues) and when they served at the cocktail hour I was given the opportunity to sample everything. The hors d'oeuvres both served and at stations were extremely fresh. It is evident they use locally... More

I'll preface this by saying I wish TripAdvisor allowed half stars because I would rate the BVI a 3 1/2. Here's the good, and it's very good. The inn is a well-preserved turn-of-the century sportsmans' lodge that was bought by one of the Rockefellers in the 1970s, mainly to help preserve the upper Beaverkill River watershed from overdevelopment. The countryside is... More

Such a lovely inn, decor, staff, location, food and more. We loved this place the minute we arrived and hated to leave. Perfect setting with fly-fishing, trail walks, swimming, games and delicious food. Kathy and the rest of the friendly staff made us feel right at home. We cannot wait to return!

We just returned from our sixth stay at the Beaverkill Valley in and love it more than ever! The service is lovely, the food is like the best homemade cooking you've ever had, if your parents could REALLY cook, the Tom Scheerer-refreshed public rooms are still casual cozy but stylish, and the activities are endless! It is the best low-key... More

Great place to escape from New York, enjoy great fly fishing and friendly service and good food surrounded by nature and wildlife. We already went 6 times, with and without kids.. And we are French- Japanese couple living in Asia.. Apart from great flyfishing in the river, very nice indoor pool, tennis court, and lovely historical building with a porche... More

After checking in to this comfortable, old-style country house, we took a two-hour hike through trail-marked forests and meadows that are the property of this inn. From the incredible views of the Catskills to the scenic Beaverkill River, the inn was a perfect spot for a fall weekend. The real surprise was the exceptional gourmet dining offered. Both breakfast and... More

Our family (2 adults+4 children) had a wonderful time at the Beaverkill Valley Inn. The experience exceeded our expectations. It was hard to imagine that we were not staying in a family member’s home. While extremely helpful and attentive, down to every last detail, the staff’s demeanor remained confidently relaxed and unhurried. The overall feeling and atmosphere of the Inn... More

Stayed here with my wife. The rooms are just okay. But, the entire experience was first class. Fishing is really great-with the river just feet from the Inn. There are other activities there-so this would be an awesome family reunion or large group place. Scenic country. The Inn also has really good food, a bar, and places to hang outside.... More

Spent glorious week after Labor Day at this charming inn set in a valley with frontage on the Beaverkill River. After taking advantage of its numerous amenities (indoor swimming pool, ping pong, billiards, croquet, tennis, hiking trails, to name a few), we enjoyed gourmet dinners on the patio overlooking the spacious grounds and flower beds. Service is second to none... More
