Stone Lion Inn is a bit a disapointing concept of a Hotel. There is no proper reception Area, you have to go to the Restaurant Entrance to get your Key and nobody takes you to your Room, you have to find out yourself where that is, and that is quit a puzzle. The Rooms are minimal the bathroom is ok,... More

Stone Lion Inn is a lovely place to stay in Montauk. You can walk to town, enjoy a lovely view from the patio at the back of your room and have a delicious meal at the restaurant attached to the Inn. I love how quaint the Inn is.

Went with the girlfriend out for a weekend on my first ever trio to The End. Our stay was very nice. It was bitterly cold in December but we managed to stay warm in the hotel. The hotel bar was very nice too. The lake and backyard were very pretty and taken care of. Would love to experience them in... More

This is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset and leave behind the noise from the beach down the street. Very quaint and well appointed rooms. brand new look and feel and everything is nearby including east by northeast the restaurant downstairs. I love this place and will be my goto on eastern long island. a quiet nights rest and... More

Stayed there for two days - hip decor, clean, nice accommodations on the lake - nice and quiet and secluded - no complaints about the hotel other than that the attached Restaurant was the main point of focus for the staff - the hotel. aside from being kept clean and well maintained - was not a priority for the staff,... The room was newly renovated and pleasing to the eye, but sofa and bed not very comfortable. There were little gnats in the kitchen that kept dying on the counter--very odd, considering we had no food there. Note that you will have to pay for 3 nights on holiday weekends. Important to know is that hotel is attached to East... More

Just back from a weekend here. Very close to town center and short walk to beach. We were told over the phone if room was available we could check in early so that morning I checked their website which showed almost every room was available. However when we got there the story changed we were told our room wasn't available... More

The Stone Lion Inn is a clean, comfortable and cool hotel on Fort Pond, just a few blocks from the Main Street in Montauk. It's not on the beach, but is less than a 5 minute drive away. It's about a 10 minute drive to the State Park and Lighthouse. It's a small hotel with maybe 10 rooms. The room... More

Spent two weeknights here at the end of August. It's definitely a huge step up from the motels that are the norm in Montauk. It's small with not much service, no real "front desk," but we were still able to check in and check out at the restaurant with ease. We picked up a beach pass around 6pm for the... More

Spent the night here great hotel and views from the patio/balcony. Attached restaurant had great food and very friendly staff. Walking distance to the circle. We got there early and was able to use the beach parking pass they offer to head to the beach. I would definitely stay there again.
